Hey y’all! Hope y’all are having a happy Friday!

TV talk time!
I’m really glad that Mason’s mom is going to treat her cancer. It was just breaking my heart that she was just going to let things happen without fighting it. I hope they can work a miracle and save her!
This week was the last week of initial auditions! I think there are some pretty good people this season, and I’m actually a little bit excited to see how the seasons go. Next week is Hollywood week, which I LOVE!
This week, we also got the WONDERFUL news that Army Wives has an official return date!
It will be premiering on Sunday, March 4th! I absolutely can’t wait! Who’s going to be watching with me??

It’s OK…

Its Ok Thursdays

Hey y’all!

There are just too many good link-ups this week! Today, I’m talking about what’s ok for me this week.

It’s Ok…

…to be so excited for February because it’s your birthday month, your bestie’s birthday month, and Blissdom month!

…to be so excited for Blissdom that you just want to scream!

…to wish more of your friends were coming to Blissdom. Maybe next year?

…to disagree with your friends’ views and to have good, calm “debates”. That’s the great thing about this country. We can disagree, but still be friends! :)

…to watch soap operas and offer advice to the characters, knowing full well they can’t hear you. That is ok, right?

…to link up with Boob Tube Babble and Valentine’s Challenge tomorrow! I’m doing both, so you should too!

Fabulous Valentine’s Challenge-Love Telling This Bad Date Story

Valentine’s Day Challenge

Hey y’all!

I’m linking up with Neely, Amber, and Casey again today for their Valentine’s challenge!

Today’s topic is worst date ever.

This date happened about three years ago.

A little background on the boy. I met him during my internship in my last semester of college. He worked for the agency I was interning for. Anytime we did activities out of the office, we hung out and had some great conversations. I knew he liked me, and so did everyone else :)

After I finished my internship, we kept in touch through email. Several months later, he asked me out. He said he had a fun evening planned for us.

He picked me up at my apartment. When I asked where we were going, he said that we were going to the mall. Yes, you read that right. The mall. On our way to the mall, his twin brother called just to check in and say hi.

We walked around the mall a couple of times, and then he said we could go to the food court for dinner. We had cold pepperoni pizza. Um…yummy? While we were eating, he kept telling all of these really weird, really personal stories about his family. It was definitely waaaaay too deep for a first date. It made me a little uncomfortable. In the middle of these awkward conversations, his brother called again. Just to chat.

After we ate, we drove around looking at Christmas lights, and we got horribly lost. We drove around for about two hours trying to find our way out to a street we recognized. In the midst of all of this, his brother called. Again. Just to see what we were up to. Finally, we got out and he drove me home. I couldn’t wait for the night to be over.

Now, I do want to say that he is a very sweet guy. He treated me very well and was very respectful. Unfortunately, things were just painfully awkward.

Oh, and did I mention that when he wasn’t on the phone with his brother, his brother was texting him?

Valentine’s Challenge Day 1 & Favorite of the Week

Valentine’s Day Challenge
Hey y’all!

I’m linking up twice today!

First, I’m linking up with Neely, Amber, and Casey for day one of their Valentine’s challenge.

Today’s topic is best date.

I had several good ones to choose from, but decided to share one from high school. The guy I dated in high school always seemed to put a lot of thought into the things he planned for us to do. One night, after we’d gone to dinner and maybe a movie, he told me that I needed to close my eyes. We drove all over town and stopped at several places, but he still wouldn’t let me open my eyes! I was almost getting carsick!

Finally, he helped me out of the car and said I could open my eyes. We were in a little park somewhere in the middle of town where I’d never been. He had a blanket laid out on the grass with two pieces of cheesecake and Dr. Pepper! We had a very sweet little dessert picnic!

Everything According to Erin
Hey y’all!

Today I’m also linking up with Erin to share my favorite thing this week!

Neely gave me this Philosophy lip gloss for Christmas, and I am IN LOVE! I don’t usually wear lip gloss/lip stick very often, but I’ve worn this one nearly every day for the last few weeks. It’s awesome, y’all!

It’s My Blogoversary!

Hey y’all!
I’m so excited that today is my second blogoversary!
What a fun two years it’s been! In these two years, I’ve done a lot of crazy things and shared a lot of kind of embarrassing things for the sake of this blog. Let’s take a little trip down memory lane, shall we?
I’ve taken sneaky pictures of strangers
I acknowledged that I’m kind of a hoarder
I stalked houses with Christmas inflatables
I shared really embarrassing old pictures with my awful ’90s bangs
I admitted my clumsiness…
…as well as the fact that I own and still watch From Justin To Kelly!
All joking aside, it’s been a great two years.
I took a wonderful trip to Chicago and spent five days with two of my absolute favorite bloggers!
But most importantly, I’ve made wonderful friends. Some of you I’ve met in person, some of you I’m meeting next month, and some of you I may never meet.

For those of you that have newly discovered my blog, thanks for stopping by! For those of you who have been around awhile, some since the beginning, thanks for sticking around! I adore you all, and you are all very special to me!
Thanks for a great two years, y’all!
Lots of love!

Boob Tube Babble
Hey y’all!

It’s Friday, and you know what that means! :)

Alright, y’all. I have a little confession to make. I’m kinda sorta hooked…on Dance Moms.
I didn’t want to watch. I really didn’t, but it’s almost like Toddlers and Tiaras. It’s so bizarre that I just can’t stop.
The girls are precious, and to be as young as they are, I’m amazed at how well they can dance. The little one (can’t remember her name!) is just the CUTEST!
These moms…two of them I can handle. The other three are just asking to be punched in the face. Not kidding.
Abby seriously scares me. I just keep waiting for her to really snap and hurt someone, physically. I don’t like her at all.

Hey Friends!

Hi y’all!
Sorry for the absense this week. I’ve had a cold, I guess, and it’s pretty much knocked me out. I feel like I’m maybe at the end of it now, so hopefully in the next day or two I’ll be back to my normal blogging!
A few things before I go…
Be sure to link up with Neely and me tomorrow for Boob Tube Babble! I know y’all watch TV :)
Tomorrow is also my two year blogoversary! I’ve got a fun post for y’all, so be sure to stop by!
Don’t forget about my Stella and Dot party!
And, just because it made me smile this week (Thanks Neely!):
Hope y’all have a great day!

Hey y’all!

Time for our TV talk!

American Idol started back this week!
I had no idea it was starting back this week until I was flipping channels trying to find something to watch. No one really blew me away, but I guess I’ll keep watching, at least until The Voice starts :)

This week, I started watching the first season of Big Bang Theory.
I’ve just watched an episode here and there, so I didn’t really know much about it, but it is really funny! It’s one of my brother’s favorite shows, so he’s got me set up with seasons 1-4. I’m excited to watch more!
Last night, I watched the two newest episodes of Dance Moms.
I don’t know how these moms put up with this woman. Clearly she’s good at what she does, but the yelling and telling the kids their parents don’t love them is very unnecessary. She irritates me.
