It’s been awhile since I’ve done a music post, so I thought I’d share a few of the songs on my playlist right now.
“Amen”-Edens Edge
I LOVE Reba for introducing me to these guys! Love them!

“Dirt Road Prayer”-Lauren Alaina

“Gravity”-Sara Bareilles
First heard this song on Army Wives, and I just love it!

“I Will”-Dia Frampton, featuring Blake Shelton

“Never Again”-Kelly Clarkson
LOVE LOVE LOVE this version of this song! So much better than the original.

“Ours”-Taylor Swift
The first time I watched this video, I started sobbing at the end. Such a great video.

She’s just amazing.

Weekend Update

Hey y’all!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and I hope you are one of the lucky ones who has today off work!
I feel like I was constantly on the go this weekend, but looking back on it, I didn’t really do much :) Friday night, Colby and I hung out with Joyce & Wade and family. I was still feeling pretty bad, so I spent most of the evening curled up on the couch. When the kiddos went to bed, they put in the new Planet of the Apes movie, so I headed home. The last time I watched one of those movies, I had nightmares for like a week!
Saturday I hung out with them all again for awhile, then I babysat. We had a pretty fun time!
We chilled with Justin Bieber for a bit.

She’s in love!
We also watched Miss America. Miss Oklahoma was amazing, not just saying that because she’s from Oklahoma. I was really disappointed that she didn’t win, but if she couldn’t win, I’m glad she got runner-up. She represented our state very well!
J was very interested in the talent portion. I think he really enjoyed the dancers!
Sunday was church, Bible class, LTC, and Q group. It was my first Q group since the holidays, and it was really great to see everyone again.
What did y’all do this weekend?

Boob Tube Babble

Hey y’all!

Sorry I’ve been a little blog absent this week. I’ve spent most of the week curled up in a ball trying to deal with my latest health issue: a stomach ulcer. Let me tell ya, those things are not fun at all! I’m pretty sure there was a migraine in there somewhere too. I’m a mess, y’all!

One thing I have been doing this week is watching a little bit of TV! Here’s what I’ve been watching.

Boob Tube Babble

Wednesday night was the People’s Choice Awards. I didn’t watch very much of it, but I loved seeing the cast of Bridesmaids receiving their award for favorite comedy movie. Maya Rudolph is amazing, y’all!
I have also watched about 14678234 episodes of Say Yes to the Dress on Netflix.
I have decided that when I get married, I need Randy to come pick out my dress for me. He just knows the perfect dress for EVERYONE!
*Spoilers!*
I kinda watched Private Practice last night.
I am more than ready for Addison and Benjamin Bratt to get together. Sorry, I don’t know what his character name is. I’m over her and Sam going back and forth, and I really want her to have a baby!
I am super sad about Cooper’s baby mama’s brain tumor! It just breaks my heart for their son. Cooper is turning out to be such a good daddy too!
If Violet and Pete don’t get back together, I’m going to be angry. I really don’t like them with other people.
What did you watch this week? Link up with Neely and me!

Creepiest Toy Ever

Would you ever let your child play with something like that? It freaks me out! Joyce got it for one of her babies, and I played around with it last week. Creepy, huh?

Weekend Update

Hey y’all!
Hope y’all had a wonderful weekend!
My momma and daddy came up for the weekend so we could have Christmas with our OKC family. I ended up getting sick, but still managed to have a little bit of fun with the family.
Friday night, we had dinner together at Olive Garden.
Aren’t they cute?

Em and me

A with my daddy

Colby & M
Grandaddy Leon and Grammy

Pretty sure Colby just made fun of someone and was laughing at himself

Can’t you just feel the love? :)

Em and her bf Chad. Lovely.
After dinner, we went back to the grandparents house to open gifts.

Colby got a new Xbox game and I got money for my Blissdom trip!

Sadie was convinced all of the gifts were for her

“Please let me have one!”
Saturday we hung out with Joyce’s family for a bit, had lunch, and went shopping for a bit. I was feeling pretty bad, so Momma and I went back to my apartment, laid around, and watched Texas Multi Mamas.
Saturday evening we met our former preacher’s family for dinner. Can’t believe we didn’t take any pictures!
Sunday I stayed home in bed while everyone else went to church and to lunch. Colby’s old roommate Stefano met everyone for lunch.

Momma and her Italian son
It was a pretty great weekend! Wish I’d felt better so I could’ve done more with my family. I’m going to the doctor today to try to figure out what’s going on.
Hope y’all have a great week!

Boob Tube Babble
Hey y’all!

Time for our weekly TV talk!

This week, I watched more Texas Multi Mamas.
Suz’s daughter Savannah had another kidney surgery, and oh goodness, I cried so much! Following Suz’s blog for so long makes me feel like I know them and it was heartbreaking watching her tell Savannah that she was having another surgery. When Savannah looked up at her and said “But I don’t want to have surgery” in her sweet little voice, I just lost it!
I do wish the show would focus more on what it’s like to raise multiples rather than all of the mama drama. A couple of these ladies are just mean, and it’s annoying.
I also watched the return of Private Practice.
There will be spoilers, so if you haven’t watched yet, stop reading! :)
I was really excited that Addison had the chance to adopt a baby, but I was sooooooo sad when the birth mom told her she was choosing a different family. I’ve seen families go through the sadness of not getting chosen, and it just breaks my heart.

It’s Ok…

Its Ok Thursdays
Hey y’all!

Linking up with my girls Neely and Amber today!

It’s Ok…

…to have no plans made to take down your Christmas decorations. Nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy them for a few more days!
…to really want to punch some of these mommas on Toddlers & Tiaras in the face.
…to make decorating plans for the cupcake shop that you don’t have. :) A girl can dream, right?
…to wear your new Gussy Sews headband (from Neely!) nearly every day because it’s just so adorable!
…to be counting down the days until Blissdom! 49 from today!

Things I Love in this La La Land

Hey y’all!

I’m linking up with my sweet friend Lindsay to share the things I’m loving right now!

I’m loving that Momma and Daddy are coming up this weekend so we can have Christmas with our family in OKC!
I’m loving that Jonna’s flight home to Japan got cancelled!
Jonna (far right) is Joyce’s niece. She lives in Japan, and her boyfriend is going to school in OKC, so she came to spend Christmas break with all of us. She was supposed to go back to Japan today, but her flight was cancelled and she can’t get another one until Saturday!
I’m loving my Vintage Pearl necklace from Jessica!
Ladybugs are our favorite, and it is just the sweetest necklace!
I’m loving Jessica’s precious little Sweet P!
It was so much fun to have a new baby at Christmas! I can’t wait for next year when she is a little older. It will be so much fun!
And, I’m loving this song!
It has such beautiful words, and it’s been on repeat on my iPod the last few days. Love it!
What are you loving?

Ashley Lately

Hey y’all!
After going through pictures on my camera and phone, I realized it was time for another Ashley Lately post! Here are a few of the things I’ve been doing the last couple of weeks.
I had lots of playtime with Momma and Daddy’s new kitty Abby.

I ordered my Blissdom ticket! Yippee!

I had my life changed yet again by Momma’s fantastic brownies :)

I had a “Cheezy Weezy”

I saw an awesome Christmas lights display

I made an awesome but super easy dip for chips. It is a packet of taco seasoning mixed with sour cream. Can’t get much easier than that!

I had a cupcake date with my bestie Jessica, her momma, my momma, and Sweet P!

Two of my most favorite girls

Sweet P loves her Aunt Ashley!

I lived through “Christmastime at Walmart 2011″.

I won a super intense game of Farkle!
It’s been a wonderful couple of weeks hanging out with my family. What have y’all been up to lately?
