Creepiest Toy Ever

Would you ever let your child play with something like that? It freaks me out! Joyce got it for one of her babies, and I played around with it last week. Creepy, huh?

Weekend Update

Hey y’all!
Hope y’all had a wonderful weekend!
My momma and daddy came up for the weekend so we could have Christmas with our OKC family. I ended up getting sick, but still managed to have a little bit of fun with the family.
Friday night, we had dinner together at Olive Garden.
Aren’t they cute?

Em and me

A with my daddy

Colby & M
Grandaddy Leon and Grammy

Pretty sure Colby just made fun of someone and was laughing at himself

Can’t you just feel the love? :)

Em and her bf Chad. Lovely.
After dinner, we went back to the grandparents house to open gifts.

Colby got a new Xbox game and I got money for my Blissdom trip!

Sadie was convinced all of the gifts were for her

“Please let me have one!”
Saturday we hung out with Joyce’s family for a bit, had lunch, and went shopping for a bit. I was feeling pretty bad, so Momma and I went back to my apartment, laid around, and watched Texas Multi Mamas.
Saturday evening we met our former preacher’s family for dinner. Can’t believe we didn’t take any pictures!
Sunday I stayed home in bed while everyone else went to church and to lunch. Colby’s old roommate Stefano met everyone for lunch.

It was a pretty great weekend! Wish I’d felt better so I could’ve done more with my family. I’m going to the doctor today to try to figure out what’s going on.
Hope y’all have a great week!

Boob Tube Babble
Hey y’all!

Time for our weekly TV talk!

This week, I watched more Texas Multi Mamas.
Suz’s daughter Savannah had another kidney surgery, and oh goodness, I cried so much! Following Suz’s blog for so long makes me feel like I know them and it was heartbreaking watching her tell Savannah that she was having another surgery. When Savannah looked up at her and said “But I don’t want to have surgery” in her sweet little voice, I just lost it!
I do wish the show would focus more on what it’s like to raise multiples rather than all of the mama drama. A couple of these ladies are just mean, and it’s annoying.
I also watched the return of Private Practice.
There will be spoilers, so if you haven’t watched yet, stop reading! :)
I was really excited that Addison had the chance to adopt a baby, but I was sooooooo sad when the birth mom told her she was choosing a different family. I’ve seen families go through the sadness of not getting chosen, and it just breaks my heart.

It’s Ok…

Its Ok Thursdays
Hey y’all!

Linking up with my girls Neely and Amber today!

It’s Ok…

…to have no plans made to take down your Christmas decorations. Nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy them for a few more days!
…to really want to punch some of these mommas on Toddlers & Tiaras in the face.
…to make decorating plans for the cupcake shop that you don’t have. :) A girl can dream, right?
…to wear your new Gussy Sews headband (from Neely!) nearly every day because it’s just so adorable!
…to be counting down the days until Blissdom! 49 from today!

Things I Love in this La La Land

Hey y’all!

I’m linking up with my sweet friend Lindsay to share the things I’m loving right now!

I’m loving that Momma and Daddy are coming up this weekend so we can have Christmas with our family in OKC!
I’m loving that Jonna’s flight home to Japan got cancelled!
Jonna (far right) is Joyce’s niece. She lives in Japan, and her boyfriend is going to school in OKC, so she came to spend Christmas break with all of us. She was supposed to go back to Japan today, but her flight was cancelled and she can’t get another one until Saturday!
I’m loving my Vintage Pearl necklace from Jessica!
Ladybugs are our favorite, and it is just the sweetest necklace!
I’m loving Jessica’s precious little Sweet P!
It was so much fun to have a new baby at Christmas! I can’t wait for next year when she is a little older. It will be so much fun!
And, I’m loving this song!
It has such beautiful words, and it’s been on repeat on my iPod the last few days. Love it!
What are you loving?

Ashley Lately

Hey y’all!
After going through pictures on my camera and phone, I realized it was time for another Ashley Lately post! Here are a few of the things I’ve been doing the last couple of weeks.
I had lots of playtime with Momma and Daddy’s new kitty Abby.

I ordered my Blissdom ticket! Yippee!

I had my life changed yet again by Momma’s fantastic brownies :)

I had a “Cheezy Weezy”

I saw an awesome Christmas lights display

I made an awesome but super easy dip for chips. It is a packet of taco seasoning mixed with sour cream. Can’t get much easier than that!

I had a cupcake date with my bestie Jessica, her momma, my momma, and Sweet P!

Two of my most favorite girls

Sweet P loves her Aunt Ashley!

I lived through “Christmastime at Walmart 2011″.

I won a super intense game of Farkle!
It’s been a wonderful couple of weeks hanging out with my family. What have y’all been up to lately?

12 Goals in 2012

Happy New Year, y’all!
It’s hard to believe that 2011 is gone! I don’t know about y’all, but I’ve got pretty high hopes for 2012. 2011 had some great moments, but some tough ones too. In the last couple of months, I’ve really been thinking a lot about the future, especially 2012. I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. I’m not so great with “new year’s resolutions”, but I do have some things I want to accomplish in 2012.
Today, I’m joining in with Regina to share 12 things I want to accomplish in 2012! This list has been in the works for several months.
12 Goals in 2012
1. Learn to sew
2. Lose that last little bit of weight
3. Find a job that I love
4. Master three go-to meals
5. Attend a blog conference
6. Exercise four three times a week
7. Read my Bible more
8. Do something that scares me
9. Finish the stack of books beside my bed
10. Spend more time with the people I love
11. Take more pictures with my real camera
12. Spend more time playing my keyboard
What are your goals for 2012?

Hey y’all!

Time for our weekly TV talk!

This week, I’m talking reality TV.

Tuesday night was the premiere of Texas Multi Mamas!
I was pretty excited to see it because one of the cast members is Suz Steece!
I have been following Suz’s blog Steece’s Pieces for several years, and I just love her! She has the cutest little family, and it was really cool to see a blogger on TV that I’ve followed for several years!
The show follows a group of moms of multiples. It shows the friendships between the women as well as life raising multiples. There were lots of fun kid moments and lots of momma drama :) I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t more of Suz and the fam in the first episode, but I’m excited to see the rest of the series. The first episode was available online, but I’m not sure if the rest will be. I sure hope so because I’m excited to see more!
I also watched Toddlers and Tiaras.
I just really don’t have any words to describe it. Momma and I watched three episodes, and it was just a whole lot of crazy. One episode was with the rat tail/drag queen family. I just do not understand these people. At all.
What did you watch this week? Link up your TV talk with Neely and me!

Please Make It Go Away!

Hey y’all!
If you read my 5 Do’s and a Don’t post on Neely’s blog last week, you know I absolutely hate Christmas inflatables. In the few days I’ve been back in my hometown, I’ve seen them EVERYWHERE!
Momma and I found a lot at Walmart.
Momma thinks they are kinda cute.

I think they are disgusting.
Just in case you need a visual to understand how atrocious these things can be, Momma and I drove all over town taking pictures. Yeah, the things I do for you bloggers…
An inflatable boat?? It says ‘Hooked on Christmas’. Seriously?

Super scary Santa

TOO MUCH! TOO MUCH!
Pretty sure a snowman and a polar bear were not present at the birth of Jesus. Just sayin…
I was really surprised that our teeny tiny town had so many! There were quite a few houses that had them, but they hadn’t inflated them the day we were out driving. That is too much craziness for one town, I think.
Ok y’all, please promise me you won’t ever have these things in your yard! Please! If you do, don’t be surprised if you see your house’s picture up here next year :)
Hope y’all are having a great Thursday!
