So much for my World Series post I had planned for today :(

Time for weekly TV talk with Neely and me!

Here’s what I watched this week.

I’m seriously loving this season of The Sing-Off! This week was their Superstar medley week. Since the show aired on Halloween, their opening number was a fun Halloween medley.

My favorite group Delilah is still in the competition. They peformed an Alicia Keys medley that was AWESOME!

I also watched Private Practice this week.
All I have to say about that is Addison should never sing.
Seriously.
One last thing before I go. Wednesday is the CMA Awards, so you know I’ll be talking about that next week. Here’s a little preview!

What are you watching this week? Link up with Neely and me!

“Consider Me Gone…”

…to Tulsa, that is!

Tomorrow, I’m off to Tulsa to meet up with my Momma. We are spending the evening with the Queen of Country Music herself!

Reba McEntire!
I have seriously been a Reba fan for as long as I can remember. She is a great performer and has such wonderful songs. She also seems like a really great person. I have always wanted to see her live, and I can’t believe it’s actually happening!
We will also be seeing these guys!
The Band Perry
Ooh, I love these guys so much! They have been on my ‘list of people to see’ pretty much since I heard their first single. I’m ridiculously excited!
Steel Magnolia
Except, I think that it’s just Meghan because I’m pretty sure Josh is still in rehab :(
Eden’s Edge
I really don’t know who these guys are, but the more the merrier, right?
It’s going to be a really fun night, and I’m excited I get to share it with my Momma!
*Also, a big Happy Birthday to my Mom-mom! I hope your day is awesome! Love you!*
Don’t forget, Boob Tube Babble is tomorrow! Also, there will be a special post coming tomorrow. I’m joining with several other awesome ladies for some holiday fun!

Tubular Tunes on Tuesday: Oldies

Music!
Hey y’all!

Krystal and Jen are hosting an awesome music link-up beginning today! Every Tuesday from today through December 6th, they are hosting a top 10 music list.

Ohh, let me tell ya, I had the hardest time narrowing my lists down to 10 songs. For someone who loves music as much as I do, it’s almost impossible! When I started compiling today’s list, I had 31 songs to choose from. Don’t worry, I stuck to only 10!

Today’s list is songs before 1979.

Ashley’s Oldies but Goodies

“Stop In the Name of Love”-The Supremes

“A House is not a Home”-Dionne Warwick

“Respect”-Aretha Franklin

“Burning Love”-Elvis Presley

“Can’t Help Falling in Love”-Elvis Presley

“My Girl”-The Temptations

“Let It Be”-The Beatles

“You’re the One that I Want”-John Travolta & Olivia Newton John

“I Feel the Earth Move”-Carole King

“Bridge Over Troubled Water”-Simon & Garfunkle

What are your favorite classic older songs? Link up with Krystal and Jen! Check out their blogs for the full schedule!

Hey y’all!

It’s time for our weekly TV talk!
Ok, I admit, I got distracted by the insanity that was Game 6 of the World Series and forgot to write a post. So, I’m writing this at 1:00 a.m., so please forgive me if I ramble or if it doesn’t make sense. :)
Since pretty much all I’ve watched this week is baseball and I’m saving my World Series post for after the Rangers win, I’m going to talk about the one non-sports show I watched this week.
Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy is by far my favorite Lifetime movie. It is based on the book by Geralyn Lucas that tells the story of her breast cancer diagnosis in her twenties.
I’ve watched it probably 50 times, but something made me pull it out this week and watch it again. It is such a powerful story. Throughout the movie, Geralyn speaks directly to the viewer, allowing you to really feel as though you are walking with her through her journey and all of the emotions surrounding her diagnosis, using her red lipstick to give her courage. It definitely has it’s lighthearted, funny moments in the middle of the tough stuff. It also stresses the very important need for women to do self-checks and get regular mammograms.
If you haven’t seen it, I definitely recommend it. The book is also on my to-read list!

Weekend with my Dallas Dears!

Hey y’all!
Going through FB pictures the other night, I realized that I never blogged about my weekend in Dallas! I had a wonderful time with my Dallas girls, and it really makes me wish that I lived there and could hang out with them all the time! :)
Friday night, we all went to dinner at Victor Tangos!
Neely and I on our way to dinner!

Of course Lindsey came along! And yes, that would be crab mac & cheese we are eating!

Caitrin, me, Kiley, Neely, Megan, & Laura
The whole dinner bunch minus Michele who was taking the picture. Sad we didn’t get one with ALL of us!

Neely and Michele

I just love her!

Sweet girls!

Michele and me! I was so excited to get to meet her, and I felt like I already knew her! She is super sweet and super fun! I can’t wait for us to hang out again!

There are many more pictures I could post from Friday night, but I’m not so sure they would still be friends with me :)
Saturday, we met up with Amber and watched the A&M and Tech games and did some shopping. Football and shopping are always a good combination!
Saturday night, Neely, Amber, and I went to the State Fair! We had a great time!

Yum-o!

Love these girls!

Waiting in line for a ride. I preferred to keep my feet on the ground!

Ooh, scary!

Amber, I’m sure you’re sick of seeing this picture, but I think it’s so cute! Love you!
Sunday, I had to head back to OKC, but had one last meal with the girls.

Brunch with Amber (Ha!), Kiley, and Neely
Oh girls, it was such a wonderful and much-needed weekend! I had a great time, and I just love y’all to death! I can’t wait for our next weekend together! Laura, you have to be there next time too! :)

It’s Ok…

A Little Bit of Little Miss

Hey y’all!
I’m sharing a few more pictures of the time I got to spend with Jessica and Sweet P! She is just the most precious baby girl, and I’m completely in love!
Friday night, Jessica and I dressed her up in a couple of different outfits and took some pictures. She wasn’t crazy about the mini photo shoot, but when she wasn’t screaming at us, she looked pretty cute!
Finally getting to see those sweet little eyes!
Yep, I think she’s going to be a girly girl!

Wearing one of her new outfits from Aunt Ashley!

So happy!
I loved getting to spend several hours with Jessica and Sweet P for several days! I hate that I miss so much living so far away from them, so I loved getting to spend time with Sweet P during her first few days of life. I miss them already!

You Watch Too Much Toddlers & Tiaras When…

…you go to a Halloween party looking like this.
Yeah, that happened.
Last year, shortly after Halloween, I saw a picture Allison posted of her sister dressed as a little pageant girl, and I KNEW that had to be my costume for this year.
Check out that spray tan!

With Mom-mom’s help, we put together a pretty fun costume!

My pageant mom went with me…she was so proud of her baby girl! :)
Pretty impressive bump in my hair too. I don’t think my hair has EVER had that much hairspray!

The whole bunch in costume

Bigfoot was terrorizing everyone!

That look of sheer terror in my momma’s face is priceless!

Lovely father-daughter moment

Troy Polamalu, a bumblebee, Kate Middleton, and Miss Circus City Ultimate Grand Supreme

Her daughter is gonna win!

So sweet!

We had a contest to see who could wrap their partner mummy style in toilet paper. We didn’t win. What Momma didn’t understand was when I said to put the end of the toilet paper in my mouth, I meant in my mouth, not down my throat!
We had a great time, and it was nice to spend some time with my church family back home!

I’m Coming Back, I Promise!

Hey y’all!
I know, I said that now that I quit my job, I’d be back to normal blogging/commenting. Well…that hasn’t really happened so much. There is just something about being home with my family that makes me completely unmotivated to blog or read. I’m going back to OKC today, so hopefully I’ll get back to my regular blogging.
I haven’t had a chance to go through all of the pictures from my time at home, but I will leave you with a little preview of what I’ve been up to!
Crazy kitties

Halloween

Lots of Sweet P snuggles!
I hope to catch up with all of you soon! Also, Neely is hosting her 1000 follower week of giveaways this week! Lots of awesome giveaways coming. Be sure to check them out!
