Weekend Update

Hey y’all!
Hope y’all had a great weekend! My weekend was fabulous!
Colby and I went home to see our parents. We haven’t been home since Christmas, and because of my flu, I didn’t even get to go home for my birthday!
Friday night, I went to see Jessica and the kids so we could exchange birthday gifts and spend a little bit of time together. She gave me a gorgeous necklace and bracelet that she made herself! Love them!
I got to snuggle and chat with my Sweet P before she fell asleep.
Look at those cheeks!!
Saturday evening, Mom-mom and Grandaddy came over so we could have dinner and cheesecake for my birthday.
Momma made Pioneer Woman’s chicken spaghetti, and Mom-mom made her famous bread! It was amazing!
I also finally got my cheesecake! We only have it on my birthday, and this time we had to wait 13 months! So totally worth the wait though!
Yum-o!
Abby was so fascinated with my necklace! She’s so cute!

Colby and I with Mom-mom and Grandaddy
Sunday morning was church, then lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant!

My sweet Sandy-dog

The bro and I in front of our “picture tree”. I think we’re going to have to dig it up and move it to the new house :)

Jessica, Ralph, and the kiddos came over for a little bit after church! Jessica and I just needed a few more minutes together. It’s so hard to only see each other every few months, and we’ve really needed each other these last few weeks. Plus, I need extra snuggle time with my babies!

Ohhhhhh I just love this little Sweet P!

I love her biggest brother K too! It’s so hard to believe this precious guy is 8 now! He’s still his Aunt Ashley’s little boy though :)

Colby and Daddy met Sweet P for the first time!

Sweet baby girl!

Love my girls!

My bestie and me! Love her so much!
It was so nice to get a great weekend with my family before diving into work this week. We start training with my girls in my shop tomorrow! I spent a little time in the shop and with one of my girls on Friday, and it’s really starting to become more real. In just two weeks, my shop will be open! I’m just so excited about this that I can’t hardly stand it.
Have a great week y’all!

Boob Tube Babble

Boob Tube Babble
Hey y’all!

Sorry I missed last week! Here’s a quick recap of the things I’ve been watching lately!

LOVED Chris Mann and Monique Benabou’s performance of Power of Love. It was just beautiful!
I’m so happy Chris made it through, but I’m sad to see Monique go.
I SOBBED when Pamela left last week! I just love her, and it’s super sad to see her go. I feel sooooooo bad for Roxy too :( I also really don’t like the addition of Kelli Williams’ character to the show. She just annoys me.

American Idol: So sad to see Shannon and Erika go. I really liked both of them. I’m so ready for Heejun to go. Last night, he said, “I’m not here to be a star.” Seriously? Then why are you wasting our time and why are other people missing their shot at their dream because you’re still around? Ugh, I wish he’d go home already.

Private Practice: Yes, I know Private Practice has been reruns the last couple of weeks, but we need to talk about what happened last night in the preview for the next episode. Beginning April 17th, Private Practice is moving to TUESDAY nights! I’m so not loving this at all. I’ve been watching both Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice from the beginning of both, which means Thursday nights have really been my only big TV night. I don’t like change AT ALL so I’m not cool with this!

What have you been watching this week? Link up your TV talk wtih Neely and me! Only a few more weeks left!

What a Wonderful Weekend!

Hey y’all!
Hope you’re all having a great Monday! I’m enjoying listening to the rain as I type/get ready to work.
I had a fabulous weekend! Regina was in town from Texas, so Amanda drove down from Tulsa so we could all hang out! I think it was August or September last time we were all three together, and that’s just way too long!
We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner Friday night! Regina had never been so we absolutely had to go! The food was wonderful, and we had such a great time together.
Saturday morning, we went to brunch at Jimmy’s Egg and went shopping at the new OKC Anthropologie! It was my first time at the new one, and Regina’s first time at Anthropologie ever. It was pretty great, and I can’t wait to go back when I have a regular paycheck :)
After shopping, Regina had to get back to Texas so we snapped a few last pictures at the hotel.
Oh, how wish this girl would move back to OK!
Precious friends
One last group shot!
We had such a wonderful time together! We caught up on where our lives are now, we reminisced about our college/outreach center days together, and we made some new fun memories. What I love most is that we can go for months without seeing each other, and when we get together, it’s like we’ve never spent a day apart. Some of the greatest memories of my life include these sweet girls, and I’m thankful for them! Girls, can’t wait for the next time!
One little side note: my Hershey’s Easter basket came last week!
I’m going to gain so much weight before all of this stuff is gone, but I’m going to enjoy it :)
Don’t forget to give your opinions on this post!

Neely & I Need Your Help!

Hey y’all!
Just wanted to quickly post and ask for some help!
With the TV season and series finales (RIP One Tree Hill) quickly approaching, Neely and I have decided that Boob Tube Babble will come to an end after this current season is over.

Boob Tube Babble
We have loved chatting about TV with y’all, but with there being very little new TV during the summer, it is difficult for all of us to find things that are blog worthy. Neely and I have been talking for awhile, and we have a fun NEW link-up in the works!

Now, here’s where you come in!

We have decided to move our link-up from Friday to another day, but we can’t decide. You tell us what day would be best!

Tuesday or Sunday?

Leave your vote in the comments, and we’ll share our new plans soon!

Stop & Smell the Roses Vlog

Stop and Smell the Roses
Hey y’all!

Today I’m linking up with Mandy from House of Rose for her weekly “Stop & Smell the Roses” vlog link-up! I got to meet Mandy at Blissdom, and she is super sweet!

If you’ve never participated in her vlog link-up, just record a vlog talking about things you’re thankful for or loving this week, then link up your post at House of Rose!
What are you thankful for and loving this week?

Hey, Good Girl

Hey y’all!
It’s been awhile since I’ve talked about music, so today I’m sharing a few of the newer songs I’m loving right now.
If you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you know I’m a huge fan of Carrie Underwood. Yesterday, she released a video for her new single “Good Girl”. I’ve been waiting for new music from her for soooooo long, and I just love this song!
“Good Girl”-Carrie Underwood

“Over You”-Miranda Lambert

“Banjo”-Rascal Flatts

“Falling”-Chris Mann

“Run”-Elenowen (featured on One Tree Hill)

What are y’all listening to right now? Any song recommendations for me?

Ashley Lately

Hey y’all!
It’s time for another Ashley Lately photo dump! I’ve got a few pictures that don’t have their own blog post, so I’m sharing them here today.
This weekend, I spent a little bit of time at my shop! Feels so weird to call it that :) Grand opening is so soon, and I just can’t wait. I really think this job is going to be great for me. I’m so excited to be trying something new, and I’m thrilled to be working for and with such great people. It has definitely made the stress of the job search so worth it!

This is Adri, the manager of the Tulsa TVP. She’s been training me the last couple of weeks, and she’s seriously an amazing girl! She’s taught me so much, and she has quickly become a good friend. She has such a great heart, and I’m so happy to be working with her!

At the hotel I stayed at a couple of weeks ago, the drawer in the bedside table wouldn’t stay closed. I closed it probably a dozen times, and a few minutes later, it would be open again. Super creepy!

I’m sure most of y’all have seen the standing broom craze that’s been going on. After getting a picture from Momma of one of her brooms standing, Colby decided he could do better and stood up both of ours.

Colby tried to demonstrate at Joyce and Wade’s house the other night, but this was the only one he could get to work!

My poor kitty. He’s been left alone with Colby so much lately that he doesn’t want to let me out of his sight. Nearly every time I sit down, he’s immediately in my lap snuggling. I think he’s missed me :)

He’s also started watching Army Wives with me! Something about the hurricane last week caught his attention, and he watched for quite awhile!
Hope y’all have a great Monday and a great week!

Boob Tube Babble: Army Wives Edition

Boob Tube Babble
Hey y’all!

Time for our weekly TV talk!

This week, the sixth season of Army Wives premiered!
As I’m sure you know, I’ve been dying for this new season to start! I love me some General Holden, and I’m thrilled to be seeing him on TV again :)
Ok, if you haven’t watched the new episodes but are planning to, stop reading now because I’m going to talk about it!
First of all, I’d read that one of the wives was going to be killed off in the premiere. THANK GOODNESS what I read was wrong! I still have a feeling they may kill off someone this season, but I’m glad we didn’t start the season off with a death. Not ready to lose one of the girls yet!
The scenes where Denise was dreaming about Jeremy while she was in a coma were really difficult to watch.
I never liked Jeremy, but I was really sad for Denise and Frank when he died. Watching her think about what life could have been like if he’d lived was soooooo emotional!
I’m also thrilled that Ft. Marshall is staying open! It was sad to think about all of the families going their separate ways. I’m excited to see what the rest of the season holds!
What are y’all watching this week? Link up with Neely and me!

It’s Ok…

Its Ok Thursdays
Hey y’all!

It’s been awhile since I linked up for It’s Ok, so I thought I’d share a few things that are Ok with me this week.

It’s Ok…

…to miss seeing your blog friends every day :( #Blissdom

…to be slightly weirded out when a friend from high school has a baby. Are we seriously old enough to be having children?

…to have maybe gotten a little teary finding out that Garth Brooks is being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Love him!
…to be so excited about your new job that you can’t stop talking about it!

…to kind of enjoy spending several weeks in hotels because you don’t have to cook or clean :)

…to post twice in one day and to think you should go read my Hershey Easter post!
