What I’m Loving Wednesday

It’s Wednesday!
Today is What I’m Loving Wednesday.
Bear with me, y’all, because it’s been a rough week, and I’m trying really hard to love something about this week.
I’m loving that my church Q Group’s Christmas Extravaganza is Friday night! I haven’t been to my Q Group in several weeks, so I’m excited to hang out with everyone again.
I’m loving that I got to visit most of my foster babies this week! That is the best part of my job!
I’m loving that Christmas is next week! I’m ready for some time away from work and for some time with my family. I have to finish Christmas shopping though!!
I’m loving that I got to see Tracy last night! I hadn’t seen her in about three weeks, and I’m missing her terribly! Thankful that she’s made it to 29 weeks in her pregnancy. Hoping for about 10 more!
And, I’m loving this song!

Top 2 Tuesday-Favorite Games

Today’s Top 2 Tuesday is favorite games!
1. Apples to Apples
I love Apples to Apples! When my family plays, we usually see how far out and ridiculous we can get with our cards. Lots of fun!
2. Phase 10
Phase 10 is my family’s Thanksgiving game. It’s such a fun game, and we get super competitive.
And, because I really can’t pick just two…
3. Farkle
My family has played farkle for like ever! This is another one where we get super competitive, and it can get pretty crazy. So fun!

They were amazing! This concert ranked right up there with *NSYNC. Seriously.

More pictures and stories to come!

2010 Review Extravaganza Part 1

Hey y’all! I’m linking up today with the 2010 Review Extravaganza, hosted by MiMi and several other bloggers. For those of you that may not know about it, today’s link up is a review of January-March. Friday the 17th is April-June, Friday the 24th is July-September, and Friday the 31st is October-December.
On January 27th, I started my blog! I had absolutely no idea what I was doing! I also got snowed in!

In February, I did my first 10 Tracks I’m Loving Right Now post. It was also my birthday month, but I never got around to posting pictures because the hard drive on my BRAND NEW laptop failed! After I had it for about two hours!
My blogging picked up a little bit in March. I had a disastrous exercise experience.

I linked up with Kelly’s Korner’s Show Us Your Life for the first time! I recapped a college mission trip.

What I’m Loving Wednesday

It’s Wednesday, y’all!

I’m loving  that it DIDN’T snow yesterday!
Last night was our foster family Christmas party, and snow was in the forecast, and I was so afraid that snow was going to keep people from coming. It didn’t snow, and we had a great night!
I’m loving our awesome foster families! I know I say this a lot, but we truly have the most amazing people taking care of these sweet babies. They have such a heart for God and for helping children in need. I loved getting to spend time with them last night!
I’m loving  that my girl Carrie won big time at the American Country Awards this week!
She won Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for Play On, Female Single of the Year for Cowboy Casanova, Female Music Video for Cowboy Casanova, and Touring Artist of the Year!
Loved her dress too!
I’m loving that I get to hang out with my girls this weekend!
We have 5th row tickets to see Boys II Men!
And, I’m loving this video! The cast of Glee on Britain’s X Factor!

A Little Weekend Update

I fully intended  to take pictures of my weekend activities, but…really didn’t get much. Call me lazy, I guess. I did have a pretty great weekend, though!

Friday night, the bro and I cooked dinner for our adoptive parents. That was an…interesting experience. The bro planned to grill chicken and I was in charge of the potatoes, beans, bread, and dessert. Kind of a lot, considering it was all his idea, but whatever!

I headed out to their house straight from work. Colby was supposed to already be there cooking, but when I got there, no one was home. I texted Colby to see why no one was there, and he said that he and Wade went to get a part for the grill because something wasn’t working right. I didn’t want to start my part of the food to early, so while sitting in their house alone, I spent some time with two of my favorite people.

Joyce came home and gave me grief for watching. She’s not a fan. So sad :(
The guys finally came home over an hour later without the part to fix the grill. Instead, they got a NEW grill!
It was close to 8:00 before we finally got to eat!

We spent the rest of the evening watching tv and snuggling with these sweet little guys!

Oh my goodness, they are the sweetest things!
I adore my cat, but I wish he had even just a bit of the personality of these babies. So precious!
Saturday night was the final Big 12 Championship game! My OU Sooners played the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Showing some love for my team!
Colby and I went back over to Wade & Joyce’s house to watch the game with them and another family from our church.
The Sooners won 23-20 in a super close game! It was very exciting!
After the game was over and the other family left, all four of us sat around playing this…
Seriously. Isn’t that a super exciting Saturday night?

I was super proud of this 59 point word I got! Wade…not so much!

Hope y’all had a great weekend!

Friday Five-Christmas Ornaments!

Just Me and My Life
I’m playing Friday Fives today!
Today’s topic is favorite Christmas ornaments!
In my family, every year we each get a new ornament for our tree. We have so many cute ones that it was hard to choose only five!
Here are some of the ones I love!
This is my absolute favorite! I love Cinderella, and this Precious Moments ornament is just beautiful!
I love this Mother/Daughter ornament! Momma and I talk about 12 times a day, so this ornament is just perfect for us!
This cell phone tree is so cute!

Another Cinderella one! This one plays music and Cinderella and the prince spin around! It is really cute!
This is my 2010 ornament! I just bought it last night! I got one for my apartment tree and one for my tree at home! I just love it!
What are your favorite ornaments? Link up with Beth and show them to us!

Wee Bit of Me Wednesday on Thursday!

{one} if you were going to a remote place and could only bring one CD, what would it be?
Oh wow. What a tough question! Probably one of Carrie Underwood’s. Carnival Ride maybe?

{two} are you generally more of an optimist, pessimist, or realist?
I think I’m pretty optimistic, but I am definitely a realist.

{three} have you ever picked up a hitchhiker? if not, would you?
I haven’t by myself. But when I was in college, my church group was coming back from a trip to Ponca City maybe (Regina, do you remember?), and we picked up a guy and drove him to a truck stop in OKC.

{four} what spice or seasoning is your favorite?
I put just a bit of garlic powder in nearly everything I cook.

{five} what’s your birthstone? do you like it?
My birthstone is amethyst. It’s a really pretty purple, and I love it!

{six} do you know what your name means?
I think it means something about a meadow?

{seven} what is your favorite breakfast cereal?
I love chocolate cheerios and Special K fruit and yogurt.
{eight} if there was an extra hour in each day, what would you spend it doing?
Why lie? I’d sleep! :)

{nine} if you could turn any book into a movie, which would it be?
Karen Kingsbury’s Redemption series! I just love these books. I think they would make a great Lifetime miniseries!
{ten} if you could go back and play out one day of your life to watch (like scrooge), what day would it be?
Ooh, that’s tough. Probably something from when I was a kid. One of my jump rope competitions! Those days were so awesome!
