Things You Should Know About Me If We’re Gonna Be BFFs

Today, I’m linking up with Ashley at Little Miss Momma for her BFF link-up!
I’ve been blogging for almost a year, but I know there’s a lot of things I don’t share about myself. This should be fun! :)
Things you should know about me…
I love to people-watch, and I invent stories about the people that I watch, usually things that involve kidnapping and serial killers.
Driving/riding in a car makes me nervous.
I have scoliosis, and I’ve had two spinal fusions, one when I was 11 and one when I was 15. I have three metal rods and numerous screws in my back. I carry a card in my wallet from my doctor describing all of the hardware, just in case I should set off a metal detector. Hasn’t happened yet, but I kinda want it to!
Because of that first surgery, I have nerve damage that causes me not to feel when my feet get cold. Seriously, to touch them, they will be freezing, but I can’t feel it.
I put ranch dressing, cheese, or chocolate on everything I eat.
I have an obsession with song lyrics and movie quotes.
I absolutely love Mexican food, and I could eat it every day.

I hate to sweat, which makes the whole exercise thing a little difficult.

I don’t usually return phone calls if the caller doesn’t leave a voicemail. If it’s important, they should leave a message!

I am probably the most organized messy person you will ever meet.

I love shopping, but shopping during the holidays makes me want to stab someone.
I rarely leave the house without makeup, but I never wear lipstick/gloss.

I have a Dr. Pepper addiction.

I refuse to use a public bathroom if I can help it.
I am terribly clumsy, and I keep bruises on my legs from crashing into my desk every time I walk past it.
I am super girly, and I love girly things, like dresses and jewelry and headbands. Makes me happy!
I love live music. I go to lots of concerts, and I have gone with friends to artists that I don’t even know, just because I enjoy live music.

I could probably go on and on, but I’ll stop there! Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

End of Week/Weekend Update

Hey y’all! Can’t believe I haven’t blogged since Wednesday!
Last week was terribly busy and stressful, so I had absolutely no energy to try to put together coherent thoughts.
I’m hoping this week will be better!
So, here’s a small recap of the exciting things in my life that have happened over the last few days.
Wednesday: I worked, then went home, had a stress/exhaustion induced crying breakdown, then went to sleep.
Thursday: I worked, then went home and went to sleep.
Friday: I worked, then went home and went to sleep.
So exciting, I know! :)
Saturday, I slept in a bit, then braved the mall craziness with my grandmother so we could finish up Christmas shopping. I have all but one of my gifts finished!
Saturday night, I babysat two of my favorite kiddos, plus two of their neighbors while the parents had an ugly sweater party. I was super nervous about keeping four kids, especially because I’d never met the neighborkids.
They were so good! We made handprint Christmas trees and watched Elf. The kids all wanted to wear their pajamas, so they said they were having a pajama party! So cute!
Yesterday, I went to church, then spent the afternoon baking for my Q Group Christmas Extravaganza. I made Paula Deen brownies and oreo truffles. I can’t believe I didn’t take any pictures!
Now, let me tell you about these brownies. They are the best brownies I have ever tasted. I couldn’t find the recipe online, but I found the video where Paula explains them. Check it out here. Seriously, y’all. These brownies will change your life.
Last night was Q Group Extravaganza! We had a great time sharing a meal and doing an ornament exchange.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
