New Year’s Day, I only had to work a 1/2 day. I seriously seriously considered staying home that night, watching a movie or two, then going to bed at like 10. Teddie and Joyce talked me out of it, so I ended up going to two parties Friday night.
The first party was hosted by two of the people from my bible study group from college. Several other people from bible study were there too. I hadn’t seen any of them in a really long time, so it was really great to see them! I didn’t take ANY pictures there! Don’t know what I was thinking!
The girls watched Alice in Wonderland while the guys played games. We left around 11 and headed to my adoptive family’s house. Joyce had entirely too much fun playing with my new camera.
Joyce told me to open my eyes bigger…don’t think this is what she meant.
She started playing with the setting on the camera that automatically takes a picture when it catches a smile. It all went downhill from there.
I don’t know where the camera thought the smile was in this picture.
I should’ve taken this next picture at the beginning of the night instead of seven hours later, but here is my new year’s eve outfit! I posted several pictures on Twitter asking for help choosing an outfit, and this one was the overwhelming favorite! Thanks to all of you who helped me!
I ended up staying the night at Teddie’s in-laws’ house. We stayed up waaaaaaaay too late watching movies.
Saturday night, the Sooners played in the Fiesta Bowl. Of course I had to watch that game! Colby and I went out to our adoptive family’s house to watch with them and a family from church.
Colby was in such a weird mood. I think the next few pictures are pretty self-explanatory.
He tried to look so innocent, like it was all her fault and he was just standing there minding his own business.
I know I blog and tweet way too often about Joyce’s kitties, but they are just too sweet! In the middle of all of the craziness of the game, they fell asleep. Together. In the middle of the room.
Is that not just the most precious thing?
OU ended up winning the game! It was so awesome, and we had such a great time!
Can’t wait for next season!

Jessica and I had our Christmas together on Christmas Eve.
Yes, she was the recipient of the headband I made! I’m also wearing the scarf she gave me!
N with Jessica’s daddy. This was the only picture I got of either of her boys. They don’t cooperate for pictures for me anymore!
My last night at home I spent the night with Jessica. We hadn’t had a “sleepover” in SUCH a long time, and we had so much fun!
We watched Easy A, which has become my new favorite movie of the moment!
We watched quite a few episodes of The Office.
We ate way too much junk food!
We made a midnight run to Walmart for no real reason.
I got to see her sweet boys for a few minutes before they went to stay with her grandparents.
I got to snuggle with her cute babies!
We stayed up entirely too late, but it was pretty awesome!
We have to do this again very soon, Jessica!
I love you, Ritz!
Stay excellent! Haha!

We spent Christmas Day at my grandparents’ house with my uncles, aunts, and cousins. We had such a great time together!
My daddy’s favorite Christmas pasttime
Marcel came over to do Christmas with us too!
These two are practically brothers
Colby and Marcel ‘kinected’ for awhile. It was pretty fun to watch.
Such a great Christmas day!

Hey y’all! I’ve redesigned my blog…again. I liked having a different design for the holidays, but it was time for something new. A super huge thank-you to Steph for the awesome instructions for how to download new fonts! I love it, and that’s where I found my awesome header font!
Also, I will post the winner of the giveaway in the morning, hopefully. There just might be a video blog!
Goodnight, y’all!

Hey y’all! I do plan to write up a post or two about Christmas, but things have just been a little too crazy. Hopefully this weekend will be a little bit slower, and I can get back to blogging. Here are just a few pictures from Christmas!
