It’s TV talk day with Neely and me!

Being home this week, I was able to watch a little more TV than usual, so I actually have something to blog about today! :)

The Sing-Off

This week, Group 2 performed again. I’m just really not impressed with this group of…groups. I did enjoy the Deltones performance of “Edge of Glory”.

I’m excited for next week when Groups 1 and 2 will combine into the same show!

Ashley Lately

Hey y’all!

I’ve been struggling a little bit with what to say tonight, but I feel like I need to explain my blog/twitter absense over the last week. It’s hard when you have something huge going on in your life but can’t talk about it. Sometimes the best way to deal is just to avoid, so I’ve stayed away. Now, I am ready to talk about it. Blogging has become a little theraputic for me, so I think getting some words out will help.

I quit my job today.

It was an incredibly hard decision, but something I’ve been thinking about for awhile. I believe there comes a time when moving on is the right thing to do. As hard as it is, I really believe I made the right decision.

The hardest part in all of this is leaving people behind. My office mate has become a great friend, and I’m going to miss seeing her every day. If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you know how much I love the foster parents I work with. These people are amazing, and they are truly living out God’s command to care for the fatherless. I am so honored that I had the privilege to work with them.

My reasons for leaving aren’t important here, and I’m not going to discuss any of that. What is important is that I’m completely at peace with my decision to leave. As sad as I am to go, I know it’s the right thing.

I do ask for your prayers. At this point, I really have no idea what I’m going to do next. While I don’t look forward to job hunting, I’m excited to see what opportunities are out there.

I have to say how amazing Momma and Daddy have been through this! They have been so incredibly supportive, and knowing they are behind me 100% has made this so much easier. I don’t know what I’d do without them!

Hopefully now I’ll be able to get back to my regular blogging/commenting. I’ve missed our chats!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

Can’t believe that I haven’t blogged since Friday! I promise to be back to my regular blogging soon, with a full recap of my Dallas weekend. It was pretty fantastic!

Seriously, these girls are amazing, and I had a great time with them this weekend!

She arranged such an awesome weekend, and I am just so thankful for her friendship!

I’m loving that I got to meet Neely’s sweet friend Michele!

Michele is just such a sweet person! I felt like I knew her already, so meeting her was just wonderful

I seriously don’t know what I’d do without them.

My goodness, he’s been so sweet and cuddly this week! It’s precious!

I just love Private Practice! Kate Walsh is awesome, and it quickly became one of my favorite shows. Last season wasn’t too great, but I have high hopes for the new season!
