Weekend Update

Hey y’all!
Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was FABULOUS, or at least Saturday was. I got up early and headed down to Full Circle Bookstore for Pioneer Woman’s book signing and presesntation. Y’all know she’s my favorite and just amazing, so I was SO HAPPY to get to see her again!

It’s Ree!

She gave a wonderful presentation! She told the story about how she started her blog and how it came to be what it is today. She told lots of funny stories and shared lots of great pictures.

She has adorable kiddos!

No presentation would be complete without pictures of Charlie!

It was wonderful to get to hear her tell her story in person. She was just as sweet and funny as she is on her blog! She ended her presentation by singing “Endless Love” to pictures of Charlie. It was so cute!

After waiting for hours, I finally got to see her! She signed both of my cookbooks and a new cookbook for Momma. I told her that I’m a blogger too, and I gave her a couple of my business cards, just in case she decides to stop by. I also might have told her she could pass one on to Josh, the super cute cowboy who works on the ranch. I have a bit of a crush :)

One of my favorite pictures ever!
I think I was just as star-struck this time as I was the first time I met her! As a blogger, she’s been someone I’ve looked up to, my “blogging hero” as I like to call her. She is just so sweet and so real on her blog, and that’s the kind of blogger I want to be. I also love that she takes time out of her life to connect with her fans. She was at that bookstore for hours and hours, and she still took time to have real conversations with all of us. She’s just awesome!
Kinda cool, right? :)
Ree, if by some chance you are actually reading this, thanks again for staying so long to see all of us! You’re awesome!
Hope y’all have a great Monday!

My Saturday Night

Hey y’all!
I don’t usually post on Saturdays, but after the evening I had, I couldn’t wait to share it with you. If you follow on the Twit,  you already know about my day, but for those that don’t know, this happened.
Yep, that’s me and Ree Drummond, aka Pioneer Woman, aka Author and Food Network Star, aka My Blogging Hero!
Just like last time, she was fantastic! I’ll have a full recap on Monday, but I wanted to go ahead and share my picture tonight. It was a long day, but it was so worth it for a few minutes with my fave! Wish Momma and Laura would’ve been with me today!

Boob Tube Babble!

Boob Tube Babble
Hey y’all!

Sorry for the blog/twit absence this week! I’ve been living and breathing TVP this week, so I haven’t had much time for social media. I hope to have a fun update on my week posted on Monday. It’s been a great week!

I haven’t watched much TV this week, but I can talk about the one thing I did watch!
Heejun is gone!
Hallelujer!
Sorry, but this guy has absolutely annoyed me from day 1. He really seems to not be taking any of this process seriously, and I don’t think people like that really need to be there. Plus, he tries so hard to be funny, but to me, it just isn’t funny.
Bye bye Heejun!
What are you watching this week? Link up your TV talk with Neely and me!

My Favorite Things About Spring

Hey y’all!
Today I’m linking up with my fabulous friends Neely and Amber to talk about my favorite spring things!

Brunch With Amber

Oh, how I love spring!

I strongly dislike winter, and I love seeing that awful cold dreary weather start coming to an end.

My favorite things about spring are the clothes! We finally get to put away the heavy dark sweaters and pull out the bright fun t-shirts, dresses, and accessories! Here are a few of my spring favorites.

Bright colored dresses
Fun flip flops

Cute scarves

Weekend Update

Hey y’all!
Hope y’all had a great weekend! My weekend was fabulous!
Colby and I went home to see our parents. We haven’t been home since Christmas, and because of my flu, I didn’t even get to go home for my birthday!
Friday night, I went to see Jessica and the kids so we could exchange birthday gifts and spend a little bit of time together. She gave me a gorgeous necklace and bracelet that she made herself! Love them!
I got to snuggle and chat with my Sweet P before she fell asleep.
Look at those cheeks!!
Saturday evening, Mom-mom and Grandaddy came over so we could have dinner and cheesecake for my birthday.
Momma made Pioneer Woman’s chicken spaghetti, and Mom-mom made her famous bread! It was amazing!
I also finally got my cheesecake! We only have it on my birthday, and this time we had to wait 13 months! So totally worth the wait though!
Yum-o!
Abby was so fascinated with my necklace! She’s so cute!

Colby and I with Mom-mom and Grandaddy
Sunday morning was church, then lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant!

My sweet Sandy-dog

The bro and I in front of our “picture tree”. I think we’re going to have to dig it up and move it to the new house :)

Jessica, Ralph, and the kiddos came over for a little bit after church! Jessica and I just needed a few more minutes together. It’s so hard to only see each other every few months, and we’ve really needed each other these last few weeks. Plus, I need extra snuggle time with my babies!

Ohhhhhh I just love this little Sweet P!

I love her biggest brother K too! It’s so hard to believe this precious guy is 8 now! He’s still his Aunt Ashley’s little boy though :)

Colby and Daddy met Sweet P for the first time!

Sweet baby girl!

Love my girls!

My bestie and me! Love her so much!
It was so nice to get a great weekend with my family before diving into work this week. We start training with my girls in my shop tomorrow! I spent a little time in the shop and with one of my girls on Friday, and it’s really starting to become more real. In just two weeks, my shop will be open! I’m just so excited about this that I can’t hardly stand it.
Have a great week y’all!

Hey y’all!

Sorry I missed last week! Here’s a quick recap of the things I’ve been watching lately!

LOVED Chris Mann and Monique Benabou’s performance of Power of Love. It was just beautiful!
I’m so happy Chris made it through, but I’m sad to see Monique go.
I SOBBED when Pamela left last week! I just love her, and it’s super sad to see her go. I feel sooooooo bad for Roxy too :( I also really don’t like the addition of Kelli Williams’ character to the show. She just annoys me.

American Idol: So sad to see Shannon and Erika go. I really liked both of them. I’m so ready for Heejun to go. Last night, he said, “I’m not here to be a star.” Seriously? Then why are you wasting our time and why are other people missing their shot at their dream because you’re still around? Ugh, I wish he’d go home already.

Private Practice: Yes, I know Private Practice has been reruns the last couple of weeks, but we need to talk about what happened last night in the preview for the next episode. Beginning April 17th, Private Practice is moving to TUESDAY nights! I’m so not loving this at all. I’ve been watching both Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice from the beginning of both, which means Thursday nights have really been my only big TV night. I don’t like change AT ALL so I’m not cool with this!

What have you been watching this week? Link up your TV talk wtih Neely and me! Only a few more weeks left!

It’s OK…

…to be borderline obsessed with a yogurt made for children. Thanks Blissdom :)
…to get ridiculously excited about Disney ringtones on iTunes.
…to think in hashtags while writing things not on Twitter. #iknowimnottheonlyone
…to buy adorable ‘aunt’ things for your baby niece every time you see one!
Sweet P is going to look so cute in this!
…to be basically the only person in America who is not going to see The Hunger Games. Sorry, hated the book so no way am I seeing the movie.
…to be DYING for one of our new love my state necklaces!
I need this Oklahoma one sooooooo bad!

What a Wonderful Weekend!

Hey y’all!
Hope you’re all having a great Monday! I’m enjoying listening to the rain as I type/get ready to work.
I had a fabulous weekend! Regina was in town from Texas, so Amanda drove down from Tulsa so we could all hang out! I think it was August or September last time we were all three together, and that’s just way too long!
We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner Friday night! Regina had never been so we absolutely had to go! The food was wonderful, and we had such a great time together.
Saturday morning, we went to brunch at Jimmy’s Egg and went shopping at the new OKC Anthropologie! It was my first time at the new one, and Regina’s first time at Anthropologie ever. It was pretty great, and I can’t wait to go back when I have a regular paycheck :)
After shopping, Regina had to get back to Texas so we snapped a few last pictures at the hotel.
Oh, how wish this girl would move back to OK!
Precious friends
One last group shot!
We had such a wonderful time together! We caught up on where our lives are now, we reminisced about our college/outreach center days together, and we made some new fun memories. What I love most is that we can go for months without seeing each other, and when we get together, it’s like we’ve never spent a day apart. Some of the greatest memories of my life include these sweet girls, and I’m thankful for them! Girls, can’t wait for the next time!
One little side note: my Hershey’s Easter basket came last week!
I’m going to gain so much weight before all of this stuff is gone, but I’m going to enjoy it :)
Don’t forget to give your opinions on this post!

Neely & I Need Your Help!

Hey y’all!
Just wanted to quickly post and ask for some help!
With the TV season and series finales (RIP One Tree Hill) quickly approaching, Neely and I have decided that Boob Tube Babble will come to an end after this current season is over.

Boob Tube Babble
We have loved chatting about TV with y’all, but with there being very little new TV during the summer, it is difficult for all of us to find things that are blog worthy. Neely and I have been talking for awhile, and we have a fun NEW link-up in the works!

Now, here’s where you come in!

We have decided to move our link-up from Friday to another day, but we can’t decide. You tell us what day would be best!

Tuesday or Sunday?

Leave your vote in the comments, and we’ll share our new plans soon!
