Hey y’all!

Hope you all had a fab weekend! I don’t have much of a weekend report for y’all. I had a migraine Friday, so after work, I crashed. Saturday we were super super busy at work, and then I got to babysit two of my favorite kiddos while their parents went to the Thunder/Mavs game!

A & J are such great kids! Nearly every time I’m there, J puts on some sort of costume. Saturday night’s choice was Spiderman :)

After the kids went to bed, we started having thunderstorms with heavy rain and some hail. Because they just got a storm shelter the day before, the neighbor kids and their babysitter came over, just in case things got scary and we had to go into the shelter. I felt so bad for the little ones because they were super scared :( Fortunately, it ended pretty quickly, and we got to just hang out and watch Keenan and Kel!

Oh, and the Thunder won by 1 point right in the final seconds of the game!

Yes, it was all kinds of crazy, but it was a great weekend with great friends! There were some of us who had been blog friends for awhile and some of us who just met that weekend!

Private Practice was super sad this week. Apparently Ameila’s baby doesn’t have a brain :( It was so hard to be happy for Addison finally getting a baby when Amelia was going through something so horrible. I definitely cried a lot through this episode!

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t blogged since last Friday! I’ve missed y’all, but it was nice to have a week away from blogland. Let me catch ya up on what I’ve been doing since we chatted last.

We had some super bad weather in the state last weekend, so I basically didn’t sleep for two nights so I could watch the weather. Fortunately, the worst of the storms missed me, but it was definitely scary for awhile! The cool part though was that Friday night during the storms, my weatherman was trending on twitter :)

This week, Team Adam and Team Cee Lo performed. I’m so glad Tony Lucca made it through to the next round! He joins my other favorites Chris Mann and Jordis Unga!

Finally, an episode with some action! As much as I don’t care for Claudia Joy, it was really sad when she was diagnosed with kidney failure. I might have teared up a little when Emmalin was told she couldn’t donate a kidney. She is such a sweet girl!

I also might have gotten a little teary when Frank, Trevor, Tanya, and the rest of the boys deployed. Those moments of saying goodbye are just so stinkin’ sad!

What did y’all watch this week?

Back in January, I joined in my friend Regina’s 12 Goals in 2012 and made my own list of things I wanted to accomplish this year. To try to hold myself accountable a little bit more, I decided to post a little update on what things I’ve done so far.

Not yet.

Came within two pounds of my goal. I’m currently around five pounds away. It WILL happen though!

Yes! I had the most amazing time with so many wonderful friends at Blissdom!

Let’s be honest. Did anyone expect any progress here?

Better, but not what I want it to be.

I’ve done two things! First, right after Blissdom, I shared my blog link on my personal Facebook page. I was terrified at first, but it felt really good! Then, over the weekend, I let a stranger cut my hair. This was a HUGE deal for me, but I did it!

I read one. Hated it. Now I’m finding it hard to pick up another one.

I’ve spent some great time with some precious friends, but life has been so crazy, I haven’t spent as much time with my family or Jessica and family as I’d like. Hopefully this will get better!

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend!

This weekend was the grand opening of The Vintage Pearl in Edmond!

Oh, what a wonderful day we had! The store was packed all day long, and we had such a great time. I’m still sooooo tired, and my feet still hurt sooooo bad, but it was such an amazing day. So glad I got to be a part of it!

My sweet friend Kara-Kae stopped in the shop to see me! We’ve been twitter/blog friends for awhile, and this was our first time to meet! She brought one of her sweet girls to the shop too. It was just wonderful to finally meet her in person! Kara-Kae, thanks again for coming! We definitely need to get together soon!

Unfortunately, those were the only pictures I have from the day! I intended to take lots of pictures, but because we were so busy, I had no time. It was great, though! I’m excited for this first real week to start. I just love my job!

Oh, I also cut my hair this weekend!

I’ve been wanting to cut it for awhile, and haven’t been home at the same time as my hair girl, so I put on my big girl panties and let a stranger cut it! I was super scared, but she did a pretty good job.

Hey y’all!

I know I keep saying sorry for the blog/twit absence over and over, but here I am, saying it again!

This week is the big grand opening for The Vintage Pearl in Edmond! We have been working our tails off to get everything ready and perfect. I’ve been taking a few pictures along the way, so I wanted to share a few of them with y’all. I’m writing this at 11:30 pm, so forgive me if I repeat pictures or if my sentences don’t make sense :)

It has been such an interesting process these last few weeks. I’ve never been a part of setting up a business before, so I’m really feeling like this shop is mine!

I’m completely exhausted and every muscle in my body hurts, but y’all, I am SO HAPPY! I’m so thankful to be working for such fantastic people. I love having a job that is something new every day. I just can’t wait for Saturday when we offically open the doors, and we get to share this fabulous business with my community! If you’re in the OKC area, you should come out and see me! We’re open 10-6, and we’re going to have all kinds of fun stuff!
