My Last Week at TVP

Hey y’all!

Yes, you read that title right. This week is my last week with The Vintage Pearl.

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been with TVP for four years now. In some ways it feels like forever, but other ways it feels like it’s only been a short time. As excited as I am for my new adventure (more about that in another post), I’m sad to be leaving behind my team and my store.

Four years ago, I had no idea what to expect. I’d never worked retail before, much less managed a store, so I was pretty nervous, but I was excited to try something new. I spent a few weeks training in Tulsa at the studio, and on April 7, 2012, The Vintage Pearl Edmond opened!

It’s been an incredible four years! I learned a lot, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do something new and something outside my comfort zone. More than anything, I’m grateful for my girls! The girls I’ve had the privilege of working with have blessed my life probably more than they will ever know. Our first little team became so close so fast. I think Annie put it best when she said that we all came to TVP needing something, and we bonded together like a family right away. As the years have passed, we have added so many amazing girls to this family, and I can’t imagine not having them in my life. We have seen each other through some of our highest highs and some of our lowest lows, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a a group bond together like this one. I’m grateful to have been a part of it, and although I won’t be working with them every day, I know this is not goodbye.

I feel like there are so many things I want to say about them, but I think I will just let the pictures speak for themselves.

It’s so fun to look back on all of the pictures and remember all of the fun times we’ve had! We truly enjoy spending time together outside of work, and I can’t even count the number of dinners, movie nights, game nights, and other fun things we’ve done together! We’ve had three girls get engaged, and we’ve attended weddings for two of them (number three is later this year!). We’ve been able to celebrate so many accomplishments, and even when someone has had to leave, we’ve all supported their new adventures. I’m grateful to have their support as I start my own new adventure! When I look back on my time at TVP, I won’t remember the busy sale days, the difficult customers, or the loooooong Black Fridays. I’ll remember each and every one of these girls! I am truly blessed to have them in my life!

It’s a little bit sad to end this chapter of my life, but I’m really excited to see what God has in store for this new chapter! Check back next week for more info on my next adventure!

TVP Night with Chili’s at Home

*Thank you to Bellisio Foods for sponsoring this post and keeping my meals tasty and bold!*

Hey y’all!

One of the things I love most about working at The Vintage Pearl is the great friendship me and my coworkers have developed. Even though we work together all day long, we enjoy spending time together outside of work. These girls are awesome, and I love having them in my life! A few months ago, Ashton started hosting TVP girls’ nights at her house! We’ve watched movies, played games, and caught up on some fun TV shows!

For dinner, sometimes we order pizza, and sometimes we each just bring our own food. This week, I wanted to cook dinner for everyone so I picked up some Chili’s! Chili’s has created a new line of frozen meals you can cook at home! Chili’s At Home meals have the same bold flavor that Chili’s is known for, and we loved our meal!

Chili’s At Home can be found in major retailers like Walmart, Kroger, HEB, and many more. There are some great options, like Bacon Mac-n-Cheese, Chicken Fajita Rice Bowl, Cheesy Chicken Pasta Florentine, and Cajun-Style Chicken Alfredo, the meal we chose!

I wasn’t sure how much food one bag would make, so I grabbed two just to be safe. I’m not the greatest cook, so I was a little nervous to be cooking for a group!

Here goes nothing!

After about ten minutes, we were ready to go! We crossed our fingers and grabbed some plates!

It was surprisingly really good! For me, frozen food normally has a little bit of a weird taste and texture, especially chicken, but this chicken was tender with lots of flavor. The sauce and peppers gave it a very bold, spicy taste that was really good!

Cathy and Ashton liked it too!

Overall, our Chili’s At Home meal was great! It cooked very quickly, which is great for people like us who get off work later in the evening and need a yummy, quick, at-home meal. The taste was bold and spicy, not bland like other frozen meals. It was definitely one of the best frozen meals I’ve ever eaten.

Have you tried a Chili’s At Home meal? Visit the Chili’s At Home site to see the other meal options and get a $1 off coupon. Which one would you try for a night with the girls?
