Weekend Update

Hey y’all!
Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend!
Thursday evening, I went to the store to get Easter goodies for the kids in the Bible class I teach!
I put fruit snacks in the eggs! So cute!
Jack-Jack thought he was helping too :)
Friday, we were closed for Good Friday! Jessica and her family came up, and we got to spend the day together! We went to lunch and then went shopping for a bit!
K & Sweet P! N was running around with his daddy, so he wasn’t around for pics. I loved getting to hang with this precious family for the day! Soooo good for my heart!
Colby went out of town with Wade, Joyce, and the kiddos for LTC, so I ended up dog-sitting for the weekend. I adore their dogs, so I thought it would be fun.
He looks so sweet and innocent, right?
WRONG!
Those animals drove me nuts! Mav and Chooey got out of the house and took off. Chooey usually comes right back, but Mav has to be chased down. Luckily, after a few minutes, they both came running back to the house. Storms were predicted, so I had to rearrange where everyone slept so the scared ones could be secure. Between the storms and the whining and the dogs sniffing my face, I got no sleep.
Saturday was TVP’s Easter sale.
We had cupcakes, popcorn, and giveaways!
After work, I ran home to get church clothes, and I found this.
Kitty cat seriously thinks he’s a human…
I headed back to Wade and Joyce’s house. Since the weather was still nice, I left most of the dogs out, but brought Maverick inside.
He was soooo happy to see me! He loves to snuggle :)
The dogs were better for me for awhile, but Mav, Molly, and Snickers decided they need to go out at 1:30 am!
Sunday I taught my Bible class, and then went home for my traditional Sunday afternoon nap! It was wonderful to have a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep!
What did you do this weekend?

I already can’t wait for next year! I loved going with such a great group of friends, and I loved being a community leader!
Thanks again to Alli, Barbara, Paula, and the rest of the Blissdom staff for another fabulous conference!

Finding My Bliss Part 2

Hey y’all!
I’m finally getting around to doing a real BlissDom recap. Just like last year, it was a fantastic conference. I spent a few days with a great group of girls, met lots of new people, and came away inspired and refreshed. I’m a little tired…ok, a lot tired, but it was a great experience.
For me, this year was all about making connections. My focus was more on deepening relationships with my friends, making wonderful new friends, and connecting with companies and brands.
I spent the majority of my free time with Neely, Heather, Stephanie, Amber, Meg, and Whitney.
We had a fabulous time!
The last time Neely and I saw each other was August! Seven months is entirely too long to go without bff time!
Neely and I roomed with Heather and Stephanie! They were fabulous roomies!
I loved having Heather with us this year! I’ve had so much fun chatting with her on the twit and reading her blog. She is crazy and goofy and awesome!
Stephanie is precious! She is possibly one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met, and I’m thrilled to call her a friend!
Meg, Whitney, and Amber were roomies!
These girls are AWESOME, y’all! Amber and I have hung out sooo many times, but hadn’t seen each other since BlissDom last year. I adore Whitney and Meg, and getting to hang out with them in real life was for sure one of the highlights of the conference!
I was thrilled to get to hang out with some of the sweet girls I met at BlissDom last year! I’ve kept in twitter contact with Carrie, Natalie, Heather, Rachel, Molly, Kristi, and Mandy, and I’m glad I got to see them all again! Love them so much!
Oh, I was sooooo excited to get to meet Jodi and Kelly! I’ve been following both of them for a long time, and let me tell ya, they are just as sweet in person as they seem on their blogs! So glad they came!
I loved getting to meet some of the bloggers that I admire! Melissa is precious, Kate has the best hair on the internet, and Jenny…I want to be her when I grow up :)
Alli Worthington…she is one of the coolest girls I’ve ever met! For those of you who may not know her, she is one of the co-founders of BlissDom. I admire her so much, and getting to visit with her was another highlight of my trip!
This was Jon Acuff’s second year in a row to speak at BlissDom! He spoke in a life development session, and he was also the closing keynote speaker. He was my favorite speaker from last year, and I was thrilled they brought him back this year! LOVED getting to meet him too! He’s awesome, y’all!
Of course, in the middle of all of the great sessions, we also had to have a little fun :)
Chris Mann returned to BlissDom to perform for us, and ConAgra Foods brought in Amber Riley from Glee! They were both wonderful, and we had a fabulous Girls Night Out!
Between evening events one night, we had a little early birthday dinner for Neely in one of the restaurants in the hotel! Michele and A even got to come!
It was fun getting to actually celebrate a birthday together! For me, it’s hard not being close enough to get to celebrate with Neely, so we took advantage of having a group of us together, and we celebrated!
Ana Gasteyer and Jeremy Sisto came to Girls Night In! They spoke about their show Suburgatory and answered audience questions! And yes, Jeremy was a sweetie and did ‘rolling with the homies’ for us :)
Girls Night In ended with karaoke and dancing. Ok, so in real life, I’m pretty quiet and shy. Singing in front of a group of people isn’t my thing, AT ALL. I’ve never done karaoke in my life. Ever. But, it’s BlissDom. With a little bit of convincing from Kristi and Neely, I joined the girls on stage to perform Spice Girls’ “Wannabe”! Another highlight for me was Heather coming out of nowhere to do the rap in the middle of the song. Amazing!
And Meg? KILLED it. She performed Madonna’s “Like a Prayer”, and she seriously was the best out of everyone! Girl can SING!
There were so many other fabulous ladies I got to meet! Jana (I can’t find our picture!), Natalie, Georgina, Mandi, Claire, Caroline, Lucrecer…I could go on and on! Everyone was so fun and so sweet, and they made this another wonderful experience for me. It was hard to come back to real life!
I’ll be back tomorrow with one more post to share a few more thoughts and some random fun things :)
Have a great Wednesday!

Finding My Bliss Part 1

Hey y’all!
Once again, BlissDom was an incredible experience! I hung out with some of my favorite girls, met some new ones, learned some great stuff, and had a wonderful few days completely immersed in Blog Land. There is so much that I want to share, but my brain is still processing everything. It’s always hard coming back to the real world, so until I can get my thoughts together, Neely made a wonderful video that I want to share. She compiled a bunch of our pictures and put them into a fantastic slideshow. Hopefully tomorrow I can get an actual post written!
Enjoy!
Have a great Tuesday!
