Today’s topic is Music Memories. Y’all know I can’t resist a post about music! :)

Most of these songs come from my middle school days and are special songs for me and Jessica. Here are the songs that take me back…

1. *NSYNC-I Want You Back

*NSYNC is responsible for converting me to pop music back in 7th grade. I do actually remember the first time I heard them. Jessica was with me at my grandparents’ house, and we were listening to them on her CD player. We used to listen to *NSYNC constantly when we had sleepovers with all of the girls, and we all had our favorite boy from the group. We also might have had a dance to this song!

2. S Club 7-Two in a Million

Do y’all remember S Club 7? We were obsessed with them and even watched their TV show. We used to drag Jessica’s CD player out to her trampoline and play their CD on repeat. Good times!

3. Spice Girls-Stop

This one was one of our favorites too! We all loved the Spice Girls and knew all the dances to all their songs!

4. The Offspring-Pretty Fly for a White Guy

Two words: PUSH DANCE!

5. Lee Ann Womack-I Hope You Dance

I love this beautiful song! So many memories associated with it!

Hey y’all! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was pretty busy, and I’m pretty tired.

I had Friday off, so I laid in my bed until 2:00, then went to the mall! New York & Co. was having a huge sale! Everything in the store was 50% off! It was wonderful! I got these cute tops.

Saturday, my agency hosted a seminar on parenting children with prenatal substance abuse. I sat in on the speaker for a few minutes, then went to help in the nursery. I got to play with some of my sweet babies!

Saturday afternoon, Teddie came over and hung out for a few hours. After she left, I went to watch a movie and have dinner with Joyce and W. We watched Life As We Know It. Great movie!

We also played with the puppies. One of the cats wanted in on the action too. I love this adorable video!

So sweet!

Sunday was church, the LTC with my kiddos, then ACM Awards! Y’all know I love award shows!

Loved Carrie’s gorgeous dress! I want it! :)

Woo hoo, it’s Friday!

I am enjoying a nice day off today! I do have to work a couple of hours tonight, but it’s nice to be able to sleep in again.

Most of my weekend is revolving around work activities. I’m working tonight, and then tomorrow, my agency is cohosting a seminar on parenting children with prenatal substance exposure. I’m really excited, and I think it will be a really great event!

Sunday is church, then a full afternoon with my church kids, preparing for our convention in April. It’s coming up so quick!

Here’s what I’m loving this week!

I’m loving time off work! Last week was crazy busy, and my boss is giving me time off this week since I worked a lot of overtime. It’s nice to be able to get some rest this week.

I’m loving that LTC convention is in 3 weeks!

I’m REALLY loving that Neely is going to come play on Saturday of that weekend! We get to hang out two weekends in a row!

I’m loving the book Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers.

I’ve had several people recommend this book to me, and I’m loving it so far. It is a retelling of the book of Hosea that is set in the 1850s. It’s really good.

I’m loving Sara Ramirez’s EP on iTunes!

This girl can sing! I can’t wait for the Grey’s Anatomy musical episode this week!

I’m loving this song!

Sara Ramirez’s version of Brandi Carlisle’s “The Story” that she will be singing on the Grey’s musical episode. She’s awesome!

And, the biggest thing I’m loving this week:

I’M GONNA BE AN AUNT AGAIN!

I got a phone call last week from my sweet little K saying “My momma’s having a baby! You’re gonna be an Aunt Ashley again! To three of us!” I’m so excited! Please keep Jessica in your prayers for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
