Top 2 Tuesday-Summertime!
Today’s Top 2 Tuesday is favorite things about summer! I am super excited that summer is almost here. It is my favorite time of year! Here’s why I love it!

I really enjoy taking some time off in the summer to go back to my hometown to spend time with all of my southeast Oklahoma folks! My Momma, my Mom-mom, and I took a trip to Memphis and Nashville last summer, so we are hoping to maybe take another girls trip this summer. Any suggestions for a fun place to visit would be greatly appreciated! Must be within decent driving distance from Oklahoma!

Weekend Wrap-up
This weekend was super, super busy! Friday evening, I went out to dinner with my brother. We had good food, and it was awesome to get to hang out and catch up!
Saturday afternoon, Teddie and I went to a Mary Kay party hosted by our friend Lacey. We hadn’t seen her in about two years, so we had such a great time playing with make-up and having girl talk. We intended to take pictures before we left, but totally forgot! :(
Sunday evening was Senior Night at church. Brandon, my “adoptive brother”, is graduating this year, and he got to participate in the senior night activities.

Channeling Pioneer Woman
I’m about to do three posts in one night, so brace yourselves! A couple of weeks ago, I tried a new recipe that I saw on tv. The Food Network has a show called Five Ingredient Fix, and there are some really yummy recipes on there. I tried the whole wheat penne with turkey and asparagus. I substituted chicken for the turkey. It was really good and pretty too!
Jack came over and sweetly begged for a bite!
I was feeling a bit like Pioneer Woman, so I decided to make some mini chocolate chip muffins!
My brother decided he was hungry, so he came over. He didn’t like the pasta so much, but Jack enjoyed having him over!

Friday 5-Favorite Restaurants!
It’s time for Friday 5! Today’s topic is favorite restaurants! My family has always enjoyed eating out, so it was kinda hard to narrow it down to only five!
1. Ta Molly’s Mexican Restaurant
I love love LOVE this place! It is definitely my all-time favorite restaurant! I love me some Mexican food, and this is the best! Every time I go home to my parents’ house, I try to head down to Paris, Texas to eat here. The have the best chicken quesadillas, queso, chips, and salsa in the world! I seriously could go on all day about how amazing this place is!
2. Molina’s Mexican Restaurant
I don’t have a picture of this one, but this is a restaurant in my hometown. Pretty much since it opened, my family has been going there for Sunday lunch after church EVERY Sunday! We’ve been going so much that our favorite waitress Amanda knows most of our food orders and usually has our drinks sitting on a table before we even get there! She takes good care of us and we love her!
3. Olive Garden
Love this place! The best Italian food ever! When Jessica comes up to visit, we always try to squeeze in a trip. I love the ravioli, fettuccine, lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and especially the chocolate lasagna! Good stuff!
4. McAlister’s Deli
Love this place too! It is very near my college, so we spent a lot of time there studying and hanging out. Their paninis and soups are amazing! They are very well known for their ice tea. I don’t drink tea, but everyone says it’s the best!
This is another one of my Paris, Texas favorites! It started out as a teeny-tiny restaurant in the old downtown square area of Paris, but became so popular that they had to move to a bigger location! They have great sandwiches, salads, pastas, and lots of other good stuff! They have good desserts too! Jess would get me for mentioning Magel’s without talking about their Godiva chocolate cheesecake! It will change your life!

I am fairly new to the ‘Glee world’ and have only watched a few episodes, but I LOOOOOVE it! I’ve always said that I wish life was like a musical with everyone bursting into song at the same time and everyone knows the words and everyone knows the choreography! Living in a world like that would be awesome. Based on the few episodes I’ve seen, if I could be a character, I would pick Rachel!
Yes, she is a perfectionist and a bit of a diva, but the girl can SING! I have zero talent in the singing department, so having a voice like that, even for a day, would be amazing! Plus, we all know that she and Finn are going to be together in the end!

I very rarely go a day without one of these! Some days it’s plain, some day’s I’ll do vanilla, and some days I’ll do cherry vanilla! I have a vanilla one sitting on my desk right now! Good stuff!2. Old Navy flip flops
I have a pair in nearly every color, and I wear them nearly every day from April to October! They are amazing and so cheap! I had a pair break over the weekend so I’m going to have to replace it this weekend! Can’t wait! :)

2010 ACMs Best & Worst Dressed
I absolutely loooove awards shows, especially when it is for country music! The Academy of Country Music awards are always great, and last night pretty awesome. So excited for Carrie Underwood winning Entertainer of the Year for the second year in a row! She is the only female ever to win twice!

Favorite Fridays-Guilty Pleasure Snack
I am still trying to figure out a Friday 5 post, but I thought I would play along today on Jen’s Favorite Fridays! Today’s topic is guilty pleasure snack!
I love love LOVE dark chocolate M&Ms! They are my absolute favorite snack! I love eating them when I watch movies. My friend Joyce keeps a jar of them in her kitchen, and when we watch movies, we put the jar between us. It’s usually gone by the end of the movie!
