After planning to put up my Christmas tree for a couple of weeks, I finally got it put up last night! I’m not crazy about the red and green Christmas colors, so my decorations are purple and silver, with little splashes of other colors. Here are a few pictures for y’all. Sorry for the bad quality. iPhone!

I love these cute little angel girls
I think I’m going to have a little bit of trouble. Jack ignored my tree for three years, and suddenly last night, he decided to play with it. He was swatting at ornaments and biting on the lights. I would fuss at him, and he would go hide under the tree. I also had to be careful how I decorated the tree because he lays on the back of the couch. So far, there haven’t been any ornaments knocked down. We’ll see how it goes!

It seems like every year the pictures get weirder and weirder. Some are staged, some are by accident, most are pretty awesome!
The washer and dryer got stolen a couple of months ago, so we hang our towels on the cabinets!
Tell me that’s not country!
Your freezer door won’t stay shut?
Just velcro it!
Every year, Colby catches Dalton and gives him a wedgie
CA tried to defend Dalton, but you don’t mess with Colby when he’s on a wedgie mission.
America’s Next Top Models?
I think so! :)
And they wonder where we get it…

I cannot believe tomorrow is Monday, y’all!
Vacation just FLEW by. I’m definitely not ready for Monday morning.
I’m going to try to do better about blogging this week. I’m starting with part 1 of my Thanksgiving recap. Part 1 of…maybe 4?
Every year, we go to my great-grandparents’ house in Super Small Town, Oklahoma. We are literally out in the middle of nowhere. No tv, no phone, no internet, and no cell service. Plus, it was rainy. We had 21 people and two dogs crammed into a teeny-tiny house.
But it was awesome!
My great-grandparents have both passed away, and spending the holiday together in their house makes us feel close to them. I imagine they were smiling down on us!
Today’s post is just random pictures from Thanksgiving Day.
I have to post a picture of the desserts!
Chocolate pecan pie, pecan pie, no bake cookies, Paula Deen brownies (life-changing!), and another pie…not sure what kind.
So so good! I ate entirely too much dessert!
We had such a great time just being together! I’ve got lots more to share with you the rest of the week. I’ve got group photos, photo “outtakes”, Black Friday stories, plus more!
Check back Monday afternoon for part 2!
Hope you all had a great holiday weekend!

Hello?
Anyone there?
Remember me?
I’m not entirely sure what happened, but it’s been eight days since I blogged. That hasn’t happened in…months!
I did have big blogging plans for these last eight days. 12 Days of Christmas Blog Challenge, Thanksgiving stuff…
Guess I just needed a little vacation! :)
I have LOTS to write about, Thanksgiving stories, family pictures, Black Friday madness. I will try to get back to regular posting next week.
While I’m here, I do want to post about today’s topic for the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Challenge!
Day 5: Favorite Holiday Movie/TV Show Special
I love holiday movies!
1. Elf
2. Family Stone
3. Love Actually
4. How The Grinch Stole Christmas
the cartoon, not the live-action one
We watched this one on Thanksgiving Day!
What are your favorite holiday movies? Link up with Aly!

I’m definitely hoping to get my Christmas tree up this weekend!
Teddie and I are going to go spend a little time in Tulsa and stop by to see Erin at the brand new Vintage Pearl store! It’s gonna be great! I’ve been reading the Vintage Pearl blog for awhile. They have the cutest jewelry, and they also partner with non-profits and Christian ministry groups. If you aren’t familiar with them, definitely check it out!
What are y’all doing this weekend?

I went to the eye doc yesterday to get my gross eye checked out. Turns out, something, either my contacts or contact solution is causing severe irritation. :( Doc gave me drops, and I have to go back in a week. He also said no contacts for a week. That means, a week of this…
You can tell how much I love them
My glasses are like 10 years old. I’ve never had the prescription changed. I can’t see with or without them. Driving is super fun.
It’s gonna be a great week. I can already tell.
