Facebook vs. Twitter: The Great Debate

Hey y’all!

If you follow me on the Twit, you know I went to a conference yesterday on social media. The speaker gave an overview of five different social media tools, as well as ways to incorporate them into your business marketing.

One thing our speaker asked was do we prefer Facebook or Twitter?

I think I was one of three people who raised their hand for Twitter.

Had you asked me even a year ago, I probably would’ve said Facebook. I’ve been on Facebook since college and Twitter only for a couple of years, maybe.

Since I started blogging, I’ve been using Twitter a LOT more. I still check Facebook several times a day, but I rarely post anything there.

So what do y’all think? Do you prefer Facebook or Twitter? Has your favorite changed since you started blogging?

I prefer Twitter. I used to say facebook because for a long time I thought the twit was lamesauce. But I feel like I can get a question answered faster and the people I talk with the most use twitter. If I could get Chad to tweet it would be complete. LOVE TWITTER!!!

I’ve been obsessed with Twitter since I started using it in spring of 2009. It’s probably my main source of news during the day. Plus I love how precise you have to be on it. You can’t ramble on and on like annoying FB statuses. Plus I feel like you can be a bit more uncensored on Twitter.

I like them both. I don’t have any IRL friends on Twitter though so it’s kind of like my get-away. I still need FB to stalk all my IRL friends haha!

I like both, but for different reasons. Twitter is great for the friends that I don’t really know IRL. FB is just for mainly keeping in touch with family and friends out of state!

I love twitter and prefer it to facebook. The kind of nice thing about it is that hardly any of my real-life friends (college, work, church) follow me so I can pretty much tweet about whatever. Somedays I’m a lot more selfish than others so my tweets are all about me, and it’s nice to know that nobody is judging me based on what I tweet. Then somedays I wish certain people from home/school followed me! I LOVE following sports stars and such because you can’t really do that on facebook.
And yes, I’ve grown to love twitter even more because of blogging…somedays it’s an easy way to read someones blog rather than logging into blogger :p and it’s fun just knowing what happens in people’s lives daily!

:) Do you follow me?! meremere7890
