My Quest for the Skinnies!

Hey y’all! I have been debating about posting about this, but thought it would be some great accountability for me!
If you follow on the Twit, you already know this, but for those that don’t know, I started counting calories last Tuesday. I’m trying to lose a little bit of the stress/sympathy weight I’ve gained over the last year or so. Tuesdays are my weigh-in days, and when I weighed this week, I had lost 2.4 pounds! It’s definitely a great start and makes the yucky stuff I’ve been eating worth it. I mean, I ate CARROTS this week!
It has definitely not been easy. I’m only drinking one can of DP a day and I’m drinking lots of this!

It does actually have water in it! I know it looks empty! :)
I’m eating more veggies!
I’m also cooking more actual meals!
According to the app I’m using, I should hit my goal weight in the middle of May. I’m using the Lose It! app on my iPhone, and I’m loving it! It’s super easy to use, and it also has a lot of restaurant food calorie breakdowns in it.
I know I’m never going to look like this…

(I would kill to have her legs!)
…but I’m hoping I will feel better and just be healthier.
I appreciate all of the support I’ve gotten from Lindsey, Neely, Tara, and a bunch of my Twitter girls. We’ll see if I can keep this up!

    YAY!! Congrats on the 2.4 pounds! Keep it up! I’ve also found blogging, tweeting and talking about my dieting with people on my Etsy teams is a great motivation and helps keep me accountable! :)

    I love the LoseIt app! It totally works and will help with your overall awareness of what you are eating. Good luck to you and I’ll be here for support! It does help with accountability when you post about your progresss.

    Good luck sweet girl! YOU CAN AND WILL DO IT!!! It’s definately not an easy thing to accomplish but if I can do it anybody can do it! Yay you for wanting to get healthier ;)

    I’m totally with you on this. I’ve got to get in shape before summer! I cannot get in a bikini looking like this, that’s for sure. I’ll have to look into the Lose It app–never tried that one before. Good work on losing weight already!

    Yay! It only gets easier… my best tip for drinking more water: drink through a straw… I drink at least 8 glasses a day that way.

    When I am not logging points on my WW iphone app I use the Lose It app. I love it!

    2.4 lbs in a week is great! Good for you! If only I would make time to work out. I am so lazy!

    and good luck girl! i’m working on eating healthier myself…such a struggle sometimes!
