Hey y’all! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend! Mine was wild and crazy, but lots of fun!
Leadership Training for Christ convention was great! It is a pretty cool thing to see 3000+ kids, parents, grandparents, and friends all coming together in one place to show off what they’ve learned about God.
Friday night was Bible Bowl and Bible Quiz. While all of our kids were there, I judged some of the scrapbooks, then hung out in my room for a bit watching Girls Night Out.
It was awesome! Carrie’s performance of “How Great Thou Art” with Vince Gill brought me to tears! Beautiful!
Saturday was a loooooong day of events. I watched a lot of drama, sign language, and chorus. I helped coach a 3rd & 4th grade drama team.
My kids did a 50s theme, and they were so good! They got a gold medal! I’m so proud of them!
Saturday night, Neely and Chad picked me up, and we went to dinner.
So happy to see her! I heart her so much!
Yes, I got to meet the infamous Chad!
We had dinner at Bee Enchiladeria
Seriously, it was the best enchilada I’ve ever had! Amazing!
We also had chips and queso
We had to take a picture for Lindsey!
We also went to Pinkberry!
I had pomegranate, and it was wonderful!
Right outside of Pinkberry, there was an ad for Something Borrowed!
Of course we had to take a picture!
Since it was raining, we ended up going back to my hotel and hanging out for awhile.
He is very sweet, and I really enjoyed getting to know him a little bit. I know he’s gotten a lot of criticism both in the blog world and in Neely’s daily life, but he’s not a bad guy. Now, that doesn’t mean I won’t be first in line to kick his butt if he hurts her again, but I think he really cares about her. He told me that he really just wants to make her happy.
We had a wonderful time! I just wish we’d had more time!
Sunday we had showcase, then worship. For showcase, the convention leaders picks three dramas and three choruses out of the entire convention to perform in front of everyone. Our 6th-8th grade chorus was chosen!
It was very exciting!
After worship, we took a few more pictures.
Me with my adoptive church family!
I just love them!
It was a great but exhausting weekend! I stayed up too late, walked too many stairs, and at WAAAAAAAY too much bad food. Definitely not expecting ANY weight loss this week!
I hope you all have a wonderful week! I’m hoping to be back around blog land and catching up with all of you. DBM girls, I get to see you on Friday! Yippee!

Thank you for the super sweet words about Chadster. I heart you times infinity and wish we had more time as usual. Will you email me our sobo umbrella pic??
