Spring Has Arrived in Tornado Alley

It’s definitely spring in Oklahoma! Unfortunately, I live in the area known as Tornado Alley. Every March-September, whenever there is a storm predicted, we all know to be prepared for severe weather. So far this season, there has been very little severe weather. That all changed last night when these lovely little things passed through.

The last count I saw said that aobut 37 of these little friends came through Oklahoma last night. The worst of the weather stayed south of where I live, but the Moore/Norman and Choctaw/Shawnee/Seminole areas weren’t so lucky.
This used to be a housing addition. One family was in their storm shelter, and the storm picked up their garage and dropped it on their shelter. It took several hours to dig them out, but everyone was safe.
As of this morning, the death toll was at five, but they expect a few more as the rescuers make their way through the area. Please keep all of these people in your prayers!
*Update: The death toll is up to seven, and several people are still missing. There is a big possibility of storms this afternoon/evening, and some of those could be severe. About 12,000 people are without power.*
