The Sunday Social, Week 64

Sunday Social
Hey y’all!

Today’s questions are all about your childhood! These flashback weeks are some of my favorites!

1. What do you miss most about being a kid?
My momma’s cooking. Seriously. I also miss being in the same place as my best friends and being able to see them every day. Those days were nice.

2. Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it?
My momma and daddy called me ladybug, and my friends called me Ash.

3. What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
We didn’t really do anything at recess. We just walked around and chatted until ti was time to go back to class.

4. What did you want to be when you grew up?
Cohost of the Today Show. I watched it every morning getting ready for school, and I thought Katie Couric was the greatest.

5. Did you participate in any school activities?
In elementary school, I was on our jump rope team and on student council.
I have a whole post about jump rope here. In middle school I played tennis for a couple of years, and in high school, I was in color guard (captain my senior year!), student council, and I was editor of the school newspaper all four years.
That’s me in the middle with the giraffe legs :)

6. What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?
I had many “blonde moments”. Seriously, I said some of the dumbest stuff. They just LOVE bringing those things up!

Your turn! Answer the questions, grab out button, and link up with Neely and me! I can’t wait to read y’all’s answers!

Next week’s questions

These are all about the fun you’ve had this summer!

1. What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?
2. What was your favorite outfit look/clothing item of the summer?
3. What is one thing you wish you’d gotten to do this summer?
4. What was your favorite song of the summer?
5. What was your favorite movie/tv show of the summer?

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Oh don’t even get me started on momma’s cooking, I’m fortunate enough to still be at home where she cooks most of the time. Ain’t nothing better.

I’ve never actualy seen a jump rope team before! Only once on TV. LOL I love the uniforms! So official :)

I totally forgot about just walking around at recess and chatting. Those were pretty fun days, weren’t they? And I think it’s pretty cool you were editor for all 4 years! :)

Stopping over from Sunday Social :) I totally miss my mom’s cooking too! I live close by so it’s ok but I still miss having a nice, homecooked dinner every night!

You were definitely the buzzy bee in school…that is awesome! When I look back I wish I did more activities. i think that’s why now I try to keep my Kiddies busy and make sure my they have the ability to participate in as many activities as possible.

Wow I was in Color Guard too! For 2 and a half years in high school. I loved it, but I never gathered enough courage to try-out for captain or any leadership position I didn’t feel good enough. Nonetheless I loved those years in high school.
