Today…

Today, I’m finally starting back to my healthier eating plan.
Back in April, I wrote here about how I wanted to be healthier. I started eating better and exercising. I cut myself down to one can of Dr. Pepper a day. I was drinking a TON of water. The first week, I lost 2.4 pounds, and seeing acutal results was a great motivator. Also in that post, I wrote that the iPhone app I was using said I would hit my goal weight in the middle of May.
Well, today is August 8th, and I can tell you I definitely didn’t hit my goal. I have been within two pounds of it, but haven’t been able to hit it yet. I haven’t kept up with my calories in several months, and my water consumption has gone waaaaaaay down.
But, today I’m taking control again.
Lose It! and I are going to be good friends again.
I’m going back to only one can of Dr. Pepper a day.
I will start cooking real food again.
I will start working out again.
(Yes, I actually use a Richard Simmons DVD. Hey, if I’m going to have to do this exercise thing, I might as well have some fun with it, right?)
As of this morning, I am about four pounds away from that initial goal. Last time I did this, y’all were such wonderful supporters and encouragers, and I’m definitely going to need some encouraging this time.
I’ll let you know how it goes!

    Good for you! I love that you’re using a Richard Simmons DVD! :) I actually know a girl who lost a ton of weight with his dvds and loves him too. Lol. Good luck– you can do it!!

    i feel your pain… i was on WW doing really great until we started all this moving mess and it screwed it up. but i am getting back on board next week— you will do awesome! good luck!

    I’m here to root you on! :) I’ve cut out Dr. Peppers and most soda completely and it’s been a good change for me. [This coming from a girl who used to want a Dr. Pepper IV to get it into me faster!]

    Love the Richard Simmons vid! I used to have an old workout vid from my sister… It was Cher! Hey, it had awesome music!

    Ok, so (1) RICHARD SIMMONS DVD, I DIEEEEE. I love you so much for this!

    and (2) I use that app, too! I’ve been slacking majorly, however, so you are going to be my new motivations. :) :) hope you can handle the pressure.

    I have the Turbo Jam DVDs – I highlyyyy recommend them. They’re really fun, too!

    That is amazing that you’re working out with Richard Simmons, hehe. Good luck and you can totally do this. 4 pounds, easy peezy. Just cutting out soda should help a ton. Once you cut back you might not even miss it!

    Look at our pic from Beauty and the best. Then look at the pic we took right before I left your place last. … There’s some motivation for ya! We’re both looking good! … Hey, I’ve been PTing with R. We’ll do this together! It’s been great to cook my OWN food again too!
