Last night was the CMAs! The show was pretty great! I love country music and I love award shows, and the CMAs didn’t disappoint (except for no EOTY nomination for Carrie, but we won’t go there right now).

Little Big Town-They didn’t really perform, but as they were presenting Album of the Year, they sang part of the chorus of Taylor’s “You Belong With Me”. I loved it!
Can’t forget about the awards!
Lady Antebellum won Vocal Group and Single of the Year for “Need You Now”
Sugarland won Vocal Duo
Zac Brown Band won New Artist
Blake Shelton won Male Vocalist for the first time! He also won Vocal Event for “Hillbilly Bone” with Trace Adkins
Brad Paisley won his first Entertainer of the Year!
And this year’s big winner, Miranda Lambert!
She won Female Vocalist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year for “The House That Built Me”. I was really excited for her! She deserved it all!

Oh girl, I love your recap so much better than mine! I definitely wouldn’t have missed the show! I wish Carrie would have won too and her purple ballgown was BY FAR my favorite too! I was thrilled for Miranda since the radio station I used to work for played her music first before anyone else agreed to!!
I am soooooo disappointed that I missed it! I had completely forgot that it was on and forgot to record it! Maybe I can find it online somewhere, or maybe it will replay on CMT……
What? No thoughts on Gwyneth Paltrow? What kind of recap is this? Haha, only kidding. Joey and I have it recorded on our DVR and we got about 2 hours into it and then we had to go to Lubbock so I still haven’t heard Gwyneth sing. We’ll have to finish it today or tomorrow.
Let’s see… MY favorite dress of Carrie’s was the creamy white one with the flowers at the bottom. And I had never heard Mama’s Song but I LOVED it!!
I’m also SUPER happy for Blake and Miranda and thought it was HILARIOUS what Brad said about with the night they’re having we could expect a baby in 9 months. It’s HILARIOUS because about 15 seconds before he said that I told Joey they were having a good night and probably doing the hibbity jibbity later. ;) LOL!
My favorite performance was probably Taylor Swift. I absolutely LOVE her and she’s gotten SOOOOO much better at live performances.
